This is one is great because its larger than most of the other silicone mats, allowing you to put at least 2 hair appliances on it at the same time (yes, crazy, but my daughter for some reason needs a flat iron and a curling wand at the same time).

I have marble counter tops in my bathroom and needed this to protect it from my irons. It perfect! You can fit 3 tools at once.

At my last house I had the bad habit of resting my hot iron the counter which ended up making the counter bubble. I didnt that to happen at our new place, so I purchased this and so far so good! Especially considering I keep my hot iron at the hotter temp.

Prevents my hair straightener and curler from sliding around on my counter space. The tile makes those things hot weapons of mass destruction if set down wrong or the cord gets bumped. This solved all of that nonsense.
