The 80 grit Mirka Abranet discs dont seem to have any advantage over the regular granat 80 grit pad from festool - perhaps less life, in fact. Used on end grain walnut where I really needed a long-lived abrasive and was disappointed. Later; Put a gently used one on the pad protector (Festool) and it started cutting well - these are pretty good, in fact.

These sanding disks allow for superior dust collection and have great longevity in all grits but 80 and it seems to come of base plate on orbital sanders quicker than the others even with the hook and loop adapter. Still better than the alternatives.

I recently conducted an informal test of 6 abrasive pads for my RO Sander. I used several brands and Mirka is awesome! Highly recommend for anyone out there who makes Epoxy Resin boards or tables.

If you use these on a sander connected to a dust collector and periodically blow them off with compressed air, they last a long, long time.

They last several times longer than the paper disc of the same grade. Do not clog and stay attached to the sander until you remove them.

Great deal on very good sandpaper. These allow vacuums to suck up the sanding dust far better than big box brands and they typically last 2-3 times longer. If you do a sanding project 1-2 times a year, don’t bother, but if you are a hobbyists or professional, these are a must-have.

These arent the cheapest, but definitely worth the money. I use them with my Festool ETC and a Festool dust extractor. Almost zero dust after and the surface is great. These also seem to not clog and last longer than standard sanding discs. I do use the pad protector that goes between the sanding disc and sander pad. I have a 5 and 6 sander and have only replaced the protector pad on either once or twice in 12-18 months. I have a small woodworking business and do a fair amount of sanding. These are definitely my favorite discs.

Im not sure why I havent bought these before with the amount of sanding I do. Dust collection is MUCH better than using a regular disc. The discs seem to last quite a bit longer since they dont load up. The disc itself is kinda thin but I believe that is an advantage. Step up from big box discs and buy these now!
