We ordered the 18 for our parrot cage about a year ago and have it plugged into a timer. Works perfect. However, we had to move the cage yesterday and when we unplugged the power adapter, the actual plug-in component cracked and broke. I looked up M&M online and called and the person answered right away and was very helpful. Took my info and said they are sending me a new one without delay. Giving 5 stars because Ill continue to do business with a company that cares about its customers and is responsive.

I have tried different lights over the years for my birds since my house is fairly dark. This one is the best product I have come across so far. It gives them plenty of light so I dont have to worry anymore.

I would give this 10 stars if I could! One of the best purchases I ever made. Parrot loves the brightness and is more active since I put it up. The manufacturers have thought of everything to make installation as easy as possible. Well done!

So far, This light is fab! Firstly,you do not need a timer for this to work as long as you can turn off at the plug,youre good. The light is sturdy and bright. Chip,My kakariki immediately cheered up when i put this in his cage after having a sulky 24hrs without a light. Previously had an Acadia mini light for 12 months before it stopped working. This feels so much more secure than the Acadia,bearing in mind these lights are not cheap.{excuse the pun!} Ive never left a review before,thats how impressed I am. Will update if things change.

Mister seems to like it. I set it to run from 9 to 4 each day and I think that he is more active when it is on. I think that he utilizes the bottom areas of his cage more because there is more light down thete. I did put it to one side so he can get out of the light when he wants to. He has tried to chew on it but mostly gave up because it is so tough. Bonus: I have a camera on him and this really lights up the cage when I check in on him from work.

I was skeptical on how I was gonna get it to the top of her cage because of the cages play top having a tray on top of the grate but It didnt get in the way at all and still sits flat. As soon as I put it in and turned it on, my parrot instantly calmed. She attempted to bite it once during install and was very curious about the metal ties but once I got it on there and turned it on, she seemed really happy. It seems she enjoys time in her cage now more than out. I also ordered a smart strip with this to automate on and off hours to when I get up in the morning and when we go to bed. This is perfect, please get this for your feathered friends!

Works great! Easy to attach to bird cage. Definitely would recommend to others.

Finally, a light fixture my parrot cant take the ballast out of and cant try to electrocute herself with by chewing on the cord. The design allowing for inside or outside the cage installation was very helpful. The fasteners were a little fiddly for one person to manage while also holding the light, but only slightly. The light is great for a 48 x 36 Dome Top; there are no shadowy corners.
