My macaw can still get her beak into the light through the screen. I had to hang it out of her reach. It does put out good light.

I have destructive parrots and the covered it perfectly!!! Makes the cages look so lit up!! Birds love it!

This is the third one (first in this size) that I have bought. These are excellent cage lights. The light is a cool white, and they are easy to mount on top of a cage. The coverage of the light is very good, affording even light across most of the cage. My older ones I have had for several years, and they last a long time. I have not had to replace any I have bought so far. I do use mine plugged in to timers so I dont have to mess with them regards to on/off or unplugging them.

My Parakeets & Cockatiels love their light! Great product. Highly recommend.

Chew proof, super easy to install and works great on a timer. A must have for any and all pet birds.

Been using it now for a month. AFTER purchasing it they tell you that you should use a timer. So I did buy one before using it. One thing I’ve noticed is the plug gets really hot so that is a concern. Beware
