> 3 dayI used this on my Vision/Lilliphut L01 cage for a single green cheek conure. It is relatively easy to install (I took off the top of the cage and installed the lamp with the metal clamps before putting the top back) and lights up the interior of the cage beautifully, even though the lamp is placed outside the cage itself. I used this with a timer plug so the bird can have 12 hrs of bright light a day. The plug accepts all kinds of plugs so the US style two prong plug was able to fit. The bird seems to like it.

Greater than one weekAs much as I love this light it has only lasted 4 months before being nearly destroyed. I have a almost 2 year old blue and gold macaw who gets very creative in destroying new things. I set it up as instructed but she has still managed to peel the cage/protector part off and unscrew the “buckles” that secure it to the cage (double parrot cage kings cages). Due to her repeated mischief there are very few led lights that are working on it and several of the metal bars are bent and broken. She is only in her cage for up to 8 hours at most in a day with her usually out for longer on a normal day. Have to say I love it but macaws exceed expectations. Update: I have had the light for almost a year now and it is completely dead. My macaw managed to peel off the metal guard to the point I cannot put it back on. I decided to leave the light on the cage to provide some brightness but she has finally made it so not a single led will light up anymore. Kind of a waste of money...

Greater than one weekI wrote my 1st one star review about these lights December on 14, 2017. The lights are very hot, they heat up the whole room, my birds were able to chew them-so they were not safe for the birds. This time the power supply provided with the light fried my socket, I needed to know what was going on with these lights. Mark said he would help me if I remove my negative comment from Amazon, However customer service has not responded. I’m happy my house did not burn.

> 3 dayIts a great light It took a little time for my Green Cheeks to get use to it but now they rather stay in the cage. I am disappointed that the power supply doesnt last and have to be replaced sooner then expected . I read complaints and I notice that it does get hot. I think its worth getting then buying a better power supply.

> 3 dayMy bird avoids the light. I am not sure why. I think it is too bright for him.

> 3 dayI was a little skeptical of this light at its price, but after installing it, Id say its worth every penny. The lamp body is very well constructed and sturdy, and the metallic-sheathed cable is much more flexible than it might appear in the photos. My parakeets, while definitely fixated on destroying anything made of rope, wood, or yarn, are unlikely to be any threat to this device! I went through plant lights and aquarium lights, all unsatisfactory for one reason or another, before trying this one, with its bright (but not excessively), daylight-like, cheerful emissions. Nicely done, M&M.

Greater than one weekI love this light and I’m so glad that I got it. Idk if it’s just me but my birds feathers look better and brighter. Not to mention it looks so much better than having a lamp beside the cage that only lights up one spot. This light gives the whole cage light. As long as you plug it into either a timer or smart plug I think you will love it. Every bird owner should have these lights. Did I say I love it lol

> 3 dayMy macaw can still get her beak into the light through the screen. I had to hang it out of her reach. It does put out good light.
