Easy to install. I’m using tension only since I’m leasing my townhouse. It is super easy to open and close. My 35lbs puppy has been leaning ALL over it and it hasn’t budged. Worth every penny!

So I purchased 2 of these gates and they are awesome! I do have a minor (sort of) complaint - I put one at the top of our stairway and the bottom of the gate has a bar that makes me feel uneasy when walking downstairs...I feel like I am going to trip on it. That is the only negative and not really a negative because I know they make stair specific gates that dont have a bottom bar... I just didnt realize thats what I needed (new parent things). If you need this for your staircase...I would get something without the bottom bar so that you dont have anything you need to step over when going downstairs with your kids. Other than this, awesome and sturdy gates.

This gate was exactly what I was looking for on our deck to keep our 2 small dogs safe. Easy installation with clear instructions. Best gate we have had compared to others. Our steps are 48 inches and fit perfectly and well secured.

Firstly, my wife and I are thrilled with this gate because it met our needs and more! Im always very skeptical of any product made in China simply because of being overpriced as well as poor quality. Well, surprise, surprise, this had to be (and was) the exception. The package arrived a day early and looked beaten up thanks to UPS. However, nothing was damaged and all the parts were included. The installation instructions were clear and precise and the video on the vendors site was very helpful. That said, my wife (bless her heart), is by her own admission not a very handy person when it comes to assembly and thats why she has me! Image my astonishment when she INSISTED on installing the gate herself.......... with me monitoring. Well, having read the instructions and watched the video she performed this project from start to finish with no assistance from me! In our case we used all three extensions but still needed to fill in some gaps because our opening was a little wider. No problem. I milled some fill-in pieces of lumber and that resolved the issue. The look of satisfaction on her face after she finished was memorable! The gate is sturdy and perfect for our needs! The only downside was her breaking a fingernail during the installation process so since she blamed me for it (go figure), it will cost me $35 to have all ten fingers redone at the local Claws on Paws. That said, FIVE STARS and more for this product!

We initially bought this for when our grand puppy came over to keep her away from our cat, but now it is also used for the grandchildren! It was hard to find a gate that was wide enough for this opening, but sturdy & didn’t look tacky. It is child & pet proof, but easy to open for adults. We would suggest getting the bumper guards to protect your wall from the fasteners. I would definitely buy again. We’ve now had it two years- I just wanted to take a picture of it to include in the review.

We’ve had this gate a little over a year. I’ve and over I’ve had to tighten it more and more. What I didn’t realize was that it was basically falling apart inside. We have two very small dogs that never push on the gate. It’s gotten very little use actually. As of now the whole gate assembly wobbles when touched. It’s disappointing to have something last a year. Not a great product.

This baby gate is very sturdy. Im on the top floor of my apartment and this keeps both my 8 month old and 4 year old unable to leave the living area to get access to the stairs. Along with my 1 year old nephew when he visits. Basically none of them have been able to figure it out. Not even my 4 year old and hes very smart, but nope. He tries but not happening. I had to use one extension and it works perfectly. One thing I will say is after a month the door started getting stuck. It needed lubricant extremely fast! So bad that it wouldnt even budge when trying to swing the door open. So stuck that both me and my sister nearly flipped over the gate instead XD. And let me tell you; if you fall over the gate; have fun falling on the other side because that gate aint budging nowhere. I do give a lot of that credit to ordering the wall nanny baby gate wall protector! Ive never tried the gate without them but I know for fact its made the baby gate way more sturdy and unable to budge than without them. Its almost as sturdy as if it were screwed right into the wall. You need to order the wall nanny to get the best result possible so the baby gate doesnt budge even from the weight of a full grown adult. I swear I flipped right over the darned thing XD. Very impressive. Buy that in combination of a lubricant and youre golden. Id suggest the wd-40 gel lubricant. Baby gate door swings open like butter now. I will say that I never install baby gates at my stairs with the babies no matter how secure or safe the gate seems. If anything were to happen or malfunction one day I rather it not be at the top of the stairs! Id highly suggest putting it elsewhere to block access to the stairs for the babies. That way if and when it ever were to fail no ones going downstairs and you have time to react/ fix said issue.

We bought two of these white gates, this wider one and the other a bit narrower. I was able to install them myself pretty easily after first reviewing the instructions (repeat, first read the instructions and if you follow them you should not have any issues with installation). We placed them on our deck, which has between four to six steps on two sides of it, to contain our puppy and adult dog when we don’t want them loose in the yard. They are sturdy and look really nice, blending in with the white deck rails. I especially like how the gate can be opened in either direction with one hand and will automatically close and latch, but the gate can also be fully opened to a point where it catches to remain open. Being that ours are exposed to weather, we’ll periodically need to touch up areas where rust can develop, basically at the bottom areas of where the rails are welded, but I’ve been impressed with how they have held up to what has been a lot of varying temperatures and rain here in northern Virginia. I don’t take the time to write reviews on many of my purchases, but because this product exceeded my expectations I wanted others considering it to know it’s worth the money.

Just what we needed to keep our puppy in a designated area! Works great and is sturdy. We had it put up very quickly.

Fits nicely. Really like the pads for the tension bolts. They help protect the Sheetrock and framing.
