> 3 dayI tried the no hardware option first (comes with hardware if needed) because I really didn’t want holes in the wall. If I didn’t feel it was safe enough though, I would have drilled the holes. But my husband and I agree it’s sturdy enough to keep our 2 year old in and safe on the 2nd floor of our home! It’s been on for 2 weeks now with us opening and closing the door and it’s still in it’s same place (I’ve been checking constantly). It will only budge if I bend my knees and push all my body weight on it, and by budging, it will veeeery slowly slide. We keep a close eye on our toddler regardless and do not let her stand on the bars or pull on it. I feel confident this gate is going to work perfect for the amount of years we will need it for. TIP - if you tighten up the top bar too tight, the door is will not open or shut like it’s suppose to. I had to loosen the top a little more than I wanted and the top is the only part that slides (with all my weight on it). I refused to go too loose on it (seriously was fighting for the no holes!) so the door opens and shut but will only shut when we put a little more pressure on it. If I loosen the bars more, then the “90 degree feature” will work. But that feature does not work perfectly with the tightness I have on it now unless we slam it shut. It’s working well so far for us. Not a burden. The bottoms bars though! You can tighten those up as hard as you want! Those bars are not sliding anywhere!

Greater than one weekNice product, fits nice on our stairway and does the job. At first I thought it was broken because after I installed the door and cut the red binding (last step) the door would not open. Guess I am in the 6 year old category of mental health. You have to move the latch AND LIFT THE DOOR AT THE SAME TIME to make it work. Child protection. The manufacturer probably should mention this fact in his short book of instructions., but he does not.

> 3 daySo I purchased 2 of these gates and they are awesome! I do have a minor (sort of) complaint - I put one at the top of our stairway and the bottom of the gate has a bar that makes me feel uneasy when walking downstairs...I feel like I am going to trip on it. That is the only negative and not really a negative because I know they make stair specific gates that dont have a bottom bar... I just didnt realize thats what I needed (new parent things). If you need this for your staircase...I would get something without the bottom bar so that you dont have anything you need to step over when going downstairs with your kids. Other than this, awesome and sturdy gates.

> 3 daySturdiness could be a little better but I’m only saying that because I believe there is always room for improvement. Everything else is just perfect. Easy to install and worked with different widths of the wall and the baseboard.

> 3 dayBe wary that some of the metal had jagged inperfections, which caused two gashes and two small cuts on my fingers during assembly. These issues could cause injury to your pets or children. Otherwise, it is a nice sturdy gate.
