> 3 dayThere are a lot of games being played in the world of audio and home theater cables and interconnects. I am certain that the highest profit margins in the electronics industry are held in the safes of these companies. My experience with this cable has been identical to that of cables in my system from Wattgate, Marinco, and the exotics, who get $500+ for a three foot IEC power cord. I will no longer pay for the yachts and private jets of the big name cable boys, and instead will use the items from this seller. Their shipping is lightning fast, and they provide excellent status reports on your purchase.

> 3 daygoodbye clutter cables. forget about having 4 or more 6 foot long cables shoved and tangled inside of my rack. these are perfect. the 1 ft ones will reach about 2U (spaces). for more spaces, get the 2 fters. thick gage cables. Thanks for making them and selling them at an easy price to try them out. :)

> 3 dayGreat power cord, just not long enough for my needs. I was utilizing this cable to hook up my ceiling mounted projector, worked perfectly. Unfortunately, I need about 8 more feet out of it to reach my surge projector and media cabinet. I didnt find the cable to get hot or put out heat that some cables can do over long distances. Will likely buy a longer one from Monoprice.

Greater than one weekPros: Thick cable, should be able to handle lots of amps without overheating Inexpensive Cons: Really not 1ft, its actually 11.5 inches when you measure only the plastic part - the 1ft measurement is very tip of the female end, to very tip of prongs on the male end. (SJWs have been successfully triggered) I dont think this cord can be considered 1ft long. Its 1ft from the very tip of the plastic on the female end, to the very tip of the prongs on the male end. I was aware of this mis-measurement prior to purchasing, thanks to another reviewer - but I didnt understand that it was to the tip of the prongs. I thought it was 12 inches from the tip of the plastic to the plastic base below the prongs, which believe it or not made the difference between this working for me and not working for me. I believe if its labeled as a 12/1ft cord, the cord itself should be 1ft, not including the plugs - as technically a plug is not a cord in and of itself. Regardless of that, the build quality was good and the gauge of the cable seemed to be really good. This was relieving, as the other 1ft cords I found prior to this one had gauge issues where too much amperage would result in overheating and nearly catching fire. I gave this a 3-star rating because although the measurement was off, the cord was good and inexpensive. I think Ill be able to use it in a different application so Im not going to bother returning.
