Monoprice Access Series 12 Gauge AWG CL2 Rated 2 Conductor Speaker Wire/ Cable - 100ft Fire Safety In Wall Rated, Jacketed In White PVC material 99.9% Oxygen-Free Pure Bare Copper

Not convinced that this wire is quite as thick as Monoprices 12awg standard speaker wire, but its good quality and sounds great on 50ft lays to my outdoor speakers. Dont lose an insurance payout or house closing because of noncode wire. This product meets in-wall code requirements.

I ordered and received Monoprice cable. Sheathing on the wire says monoprice. Im not an audiophile but PLEASE dont get taken in by the High end cable and wire marketing demons... unless you are Superman or a dog and have Uber hearing, save the $$$ for your electronic where it matters. Used this wire to create my own beefy coax speaker cables to replace the too short cables that came with my Vizio 5.1 soundbar /sattelite speaker system (the 54 inch system here on Amazon... great system by the way) I used the monoprice premium RCA plugs also here on Amazon. People say those plugs are too hard to soldier the wires too. Yes, if you dont know how to solder properly this youll make a mess and blame it on the product. Im not an expert solderer but I watched a lot of youtube videos and looked at pics. And then I practiced a bit with a decent soldering iron. I made no mistakes and the cables worked perfectly the first time. 12 gauge copper speaker wire is perfect for making your own speaker cables. It was slightly too large for what I did with the RCA plugs... but I made it work. 14 or 16 gauge wire woild have fit nicer and probaly sufficuent for this purpose but i wanted 12. Teach yourself how to solder, use a good soldering iron atbthe right temp for your solder wire, tin the tips of the copper speaker wires first (not an optional step) and have at it. Proper solder temp is important for solid strong solder points. And... dont hold the iron too long to the copper wire as you might melt the cabling sheathing . I actually probably held it too long but the sheathing on this monoprice wire held up jist fine. I now have 5.1 surround sound :-) running cables in the attic space? Solder your wires first :-)

Wire is ok quality. I did a calculation I need 60 ft of wire for 4 ceiling speakers. When I finish I only left with about 10 ft left on the spool so where is my other 30 ft of wire go?

Probably the best in-wall speaker cable for less. Has more copper strands than its competitors and being true CL-2 rated, safety at its best.

Its 12 gauge wire, it works. But comes tightly coiled and hard to straighten and untangle. also has unpleasant powder of some sort that gets on your hands when you cut or strip the insulation

There isnt much to say here. The speaker wire seemed very pliable for 12AWG, and was very easily cut to size and stripped. I trust Monoprice cables for just about any of my needs

Have not used it yet . However it looks great and sturdy hope its output is also good. I am planning to setup a Home theater using this wire.

Heavy duty cable, though I though the outside sleeve would be a bit thicker for added protection.

Great price and it does the same thing as over priced cables at your local electronics store.
