I ordered and received Monoprice cable. Sheathing on the wire says monoprice. Im not an audiophile but PLEASE dont get taken in by the High end cable and wire marketing demons... unless you are Superman or a dog and have Uber hearing, save the $$$ for your electronic where it matters. Used this wire to create my own beefy coax speaker cables to replace the too short cables that came with my Vizio 5.1 soundbar /sattelite speaker system (the 54 inch system here on Amazon... great system by the way) I used the monoprice premium RCA plugs also here on Amazon. People say those plugs are too hard to soldier the wires too. Yes, if you dont know how to solder properly this youll make a mess and blame it on the product. Im not an expert solderer but I watched a lot of youtube videos and looked at pics. And then I practiced a bit with a decent soldering iron. I made no mistakes and the cables worked perfectly the first time. 12 gauge copper speaker wire is perfect for making your own speaker cables. It was slightly too large for what I did with the RCA plugs... but I made it work. 14 or 16 gauge wire woild have fit nicer and probaly sufficuent for this purpose but i wanted 12. Teach yourself how to solder, use a good soldering iron atbthe right temp for your solder wire, tin the tips of the copper speaker wires first (not an optional step) and have at it. Proper solder temp is important for solid strong solder points. And... dont hold the iron too long to the copper wire as you might melt the cabling sheathing . I actually probably held it too long but the sheathing on this monoprice wire held up jist fine. I now have 5.1 surround sound :-) running cables in the attic space? Solder your wires first :-)

I installed an 11.2 audio system using this cable and greatly regret doing so. After several attempts to get good sound quality from the cable I ended up requesting a refund for the additional 100ft spool I ordered. I wish I could get a refund for the previous two that I purchased but I dont think theyll take back cut cable. The cable I replaced this stuff with works exceptionally well and audio comes out clear as bells and bass hits hard again.

Good wire for the money. The tunes come out the other end of the wire sounding great.

Its 12 gauge wire, it works. But comes tightly coiled and hard to straighten and untangle. also has unpleasant powder of some sort that gets on your hands when you cut or strip the insulation

I ordered this cable because it was labeled as by MONOPRICE and the pictures were spools of MONOPRICE cable. I have used MONOPRICE cable in the past and have been very happy with the quality of their products. What I RECEIVED was SATMAXIMUM cable, which was clearly of lower quality than Monoprice cable. False Advertising! I opened a claim with both the seller and Amazon. The seller expected me to pay return shipping after claiming that Satmaximum is the SAME wire as Monoprice cable. NOT TRUE. I have a bunch of Monoprice wire on hand from previous installs and you dont even have to hold them next to each other to see the difference. Amazon said they would contact seller for me regarding return shipping charges, but I would still be expected to pay return shipping charges in the interim while they sorted it out. In the end, I ended up keeping the cable, because I did not want to pay return shipping and deal with the hassle of fighting over the return process any longer. I think its ludicrous that I would be expected to pay return shipping on an item that was sold to me under these circumstances. If you order a Samsung TV, and get a Vizio, its NOT right. Same honesty should apply to Cables. I noticed since I filed the complaint, they at least took the pictures of the Monoprice spooled cables down. Good for them. Crooks. I am now leery about shopping in the Amazon Marketplace because of this experience! I thought my case was plain and simple, but I had to explain it very clearly in about a dozen emails to get my point across and even then, the resolution was unsatisfactory. UPDATE: The vendor who (dis)serviced my order was Cables-Direct-Online.

I bought this wire to connect my electrical fense charger to my ground and positive. Works well. No problem.
