Performs as rated and has a nice braided cable design to boot. Got exactly what I expected which is Displayport 1.4 compatible with a 10 foot reach. Monoprice usually delivers on what they say.

What can you say about cords? Plenty. Monoprice cords have never let me down, while some other brands HAVE. Unless you see a review from me for another brand, presume that that other brand didnt work out (cable failed after regular use, connectors substandard, etc.). Monoprice also warranties many of their cables so if it DOES go bad, you have recourse. This cable looks pretty nice. It functioned well to daisy-chain two monitors via DP-DP connection (and only 16.5 length was required, not a whole meter). Connectors are solid, sturdy, somewhat easy to release. In all ... another Monoprice win.

I purchase this for a portable machine that the users tend to run over the cord frequently and these hold up much better than the non braided cables.

I read a lot of reviews for DisplayPort cables before buying these. I see all kinds of reviews from people about pins being active that should not be active. Or it isnt hitting the data rate specd. Or maybe they are getting lower than expected frame rates. I am sure all these are important to some users in specific scenarios, however if you just need a DisplayPort cable for daily office work and occassional mid to low performance gaming, it works and I have not ran into any issues.

I use this for my second monitor so I dont really need this one running at 144hz but it does cause flickering and a flashing red light on the back of my Viotek gft27d. Per the viotek manual Red light indicates that no horizontal or vertical signal has been detected or voltage is low. Flashing stops when using a different DP cable, and so does the flickering. I dropped it down to 60hz and it works fine.

These feel well made, they work, are priced well, and thats about all that really matters isnt it?

Cable worked just fine for 2.5 months. About 2 weeks ago my monitor entered sleep mode as it always does after 5 minutes of inactivity. When I returned to my computer and moved my mouse to reactivate the monitor, I got the DisplayPort no signal box, and monitor returned to sleep. I turned it off entirely and back on, and at that time it continued to work fine. Today the same thing happened and this time nothing works. Ive rebooted, unplugged the power to the monitor. Tried the other 2 ports on my graphics card. Cable has just died. This seems to be pretty common as this is the 3rd cable Ive had do this, and all 3 were different brands. First one worked for about 6 months and died, 2nd one I got ONE WEEK out of it. Back to HDMI I guess. Amazingly enough Ive never had an HDMI cable fail on me in 15+ years.

These cables are great, i needed longer cables for my dual 32 lg monitors. I wanted something beefy and well built, I got both with these cables. they work flawlessly. I have plugged and unplugged these cables many times, I build pcs as a hobby, these have probably been hooked up to 15 computers with out an issue. they still fit snug into the monitor and graphics card.

I have this 3ft cable going into to a KVM switch with another 6ft cable going to my PCs. It works well, other than a blackout every now and again. I probably have to isolate the wires a bit better. I will say the 10ft cable just wouldnt work with this setup. Maybe the 10ft cable works well by itself, but when it went into the KVM with the 3ft cable (13ft in total) I got constant blackouts.

Monoprice braided DisplayPort 1.4 cables are compatible with the newest DisplayPort 1.4 specification. With DisplayPort 1.4, you can connect your DisplayPort equipped ultra-high performance Gaming PC or workstation to a high resolution monitor. This cable features support for high bit rate 3 (HBR3), display stream compression 1.2 (DSC), forward error Correction, and up to 32 inline audio channels. It is fully compatible with older DisplayPort standards and includes the standard DisplayPort connector locks, which helps prevent unwanted disconnects and provides long lasting connectivity.
