It is an extension cord. I hooked it up to my overhead projector and havent had to bother with it. Just as expected.

Works like a power 14AWG cord, but the right angle PC connector shortens the depth of the female connector. Relocating my 7-chanel home theater amplifier to a new equipment rack resulted in a half inch excess depth placing significant mechanical pressure on the original power cord. The right angle design of this cord reduced the overall depth of the amplifier about an inch, a very simple and inexpensive solution to my problem. Be sure that the orientation of the right angle cord when connected to your equipment does not cause the redirected cord to interfere with other devices.

This particular cord is a heavier gauge then most and I felt safer using it on my big screen plasma.

Needed a longer cord to accommodate a Vizio TV placement over a fireplace mantel. This worked great! Was concerned the length may cause challenges with the tvs sensitive electronics. Not the case at all. Great product, good price, strongly recommend!

Great power cord, super thick with 3 14 gauge conductors. Using it to power my turntable, using two of the three prongs. Monoprice just doesnt disappoint. This cable is cheap through Monoprice directly but only if youre buying a bunch of other stuff since they dont offer free shipping.

This cord worked very well to put behind a flat panel TV with a very low profile mount.

Great cord for tight spots with equipment backed up against cabinets and walls. Just wish they made both a right and left hand version.
