Great value for the price. The metallic is true and very pretty! I like to mix the metallic with my non metallic paints for a slight subtle shine. I would buy these again!

I used this paint to do pours on birdhouses...they came out awesome. Very easy to mix and use, will buy again.

This paint is too sheer and poorly pigmented. Im disappointed and definitely feel like I wasted my money.

I have gotten several Mont Marte paints and have been impressed with all of them. These metallics are beautiful. The paint is a nice consistency and just really enjoyable to use.

I love this paint. It has a wonderful shimmer to it & makes all my work look classy! I love the tubes because the paint is thicker & i can choose the consistency. I typically like my paint a little thicker, but I can always thin it down if needed.

Belle texture

In the photographs above I have painted basically the same scene on black and white watercolor paper, since metallics look really different on black paper than they do on white paper. I have also provided some color swatches. The paint is easy to work with and spreads easily on the paper. These are relatively small tubes of paint so I decided to dip a brush that comes to a fine tip ( Princeton Aqua Elite 8 Long Round) directly into the tubes, and if I wanted to thin the paint I added water to it once it was on the paper. That worked out fine. I felt that putting some on a plate would tend to waste it, since I was sure to squeeze out more than I needed. Basically I was treating these acrylics as one might treat watercolor paints, and they responded well to that. While there are 36 colors, I felt some colors I would like to have were missing. A scarlet red. A real orange. And a brown, such as a burnt umber. The blues were absolutely stunning, and they would totally rock for seascapes and skies. The colors blended adequately on the paper. In the right light, these metallics shimmer and glow and are absolutely beautiful. While I have not tried painted on canvas with these paints I can heartily recommend them using them the way I did for this review. If you want to squeeze paint out on a palette, I would suggest that you get a Masterson Sta-Wet Painters Palette. Using that palette your paints will be preserved for months and will not dry up and become unusable. Happy Painting!
