I recently decided to start acrylic painting. When I saw these metallics, I knew I had to have them. TUBES The tubes of these paints are pretty big. They have see through plastic sides on them and an easy to turn cap which is large. PAINT The paint consistency is on the thinner side. That means if you use mixing medium to thin out your paints, you wont need a lot with these. COLORS The colors are all pretty true to what they look like in the tube. They are quite nice, metallic, and the colors are all on the lighter side. You wont be getting DEEP shades with this set. They are best for accent work than entire paintings. DRY TIME These dry a bit slower than other paints, which is good, it gives working time. LIFT? You can lift these but you have to work within 10 minutes or so. PERFORMANCE These paints are easy to work with, rinse off pretty well and layer nicely. I did not have any issues with lumpy texture or other problems. EXAMPLE I have put a photo of a painting that I did (my first one) from a cheap printed canvas I picked up at Five Below. On this painting, the stars are done with two colors of metallic- white and yellow. The berries on the bottom are done with a magenta metallic over top of a magenta paint. THE BOTTOM LINE This set is a nice accent set to have handy. You get a lot of paint and because it is best for accent work, this will last quite a while. Mixing is not always successful, but this is a great set to add to your acrylic collection. MY RATING FIVE STARS. I like that this is not overly thick and that it does not have to be thinned down for most uses. The colors are decent and this makes great accents.

I love the shimmer of these colours. They made for a nice northern lights painting. Wish I had more colours!

This is a nice assortment of metallic paints for crafts and fun. The colors are so nice that it is difficult to keep from painting everything I see in metallic! I am using the paints to jazz up some candlesticks, but I can see picture frames, wood boxes and a metallic unicorn in my future. The paints are easy to work with and flow easily.

This paint is iridescent, changes color when light reflects on it. I love it. I used it on bee wings and butterfly wings and dragonfly wings. Really made them come alive. I sold 2 of the dragonfly.

I love these, theyre gorgeous with a high degree of shimmering particles. They went on smoothly with a brush and during a pour and dried quickly. They arent as thick as say a tube acrylic, but not liquid-y either. Just for an experiment I did try thinning one with various things I had on hand (water, medium, etc.) and it appeared to work. For the item in the picture, I thinned with pouring medium and it still shined spectacularly. I do like that there are some basic metallic colors (gold, silver) but also some unusual colors like green and purple. No complaints here, theyre gorgeous!

Some of the colors are beautiful, most are extremely light and thin. They have great shimmer, even with just one coat, however, if you want shimmer AND color, look elsewhere.

These acrylic paints spread easily, great coverage with one coat and the colors are fabulous. Love them.

I have gotten several Mont Marte paints and have been impressed with all of them. These metallics are beautiful. The paint is a nice consistency and just really enjoyable to use.
