Great little paint set. Not the best, but good for the price. I use them mostly for gelli printing, so they are great for that. Would buy it again.

I have been experimenting with how to use the metallic colors in my art journal. I find that they are most effective for me as final touches rather than using them to start a page. I have experimented with them as paint for stamping, and mark making. In the above picture, I used the metallic paints with various stamps to make some of the foliage. I also use it on tissue paper to make markers for use as collage pieces. For my taste, the metallic paints are not as attractive as background on a page. Christine

My daughter, the jack of all trades artist, gives this paint a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The metallic paint applies and works very well, although she wished it had just a little more sheen to it. That aside, she likes working with these and shes a pretty harsh critic on multiple media!

Both the grade-schooler and I were impressed with this bountiful set of metallic acrylic paints. You get 36 colors which are well-displayed here on the product page. The price is in keeping with other comparable sets, and the 36ml size is sizeable but not too big for our at-home needs. The tubes are laid out in rows of 8, with two rows worth on two plastic trays. The trays are a little flimsy, but have held together just fine. You have to tilt the paints at an angle to make them fit. We had a lot of fun doing all-metallic paintings, as well as combining together with other flat acrylic paints we already had. If youre looking for a variety of shiny metallic acrylic paints, Ive got no problem recommending this Mont Marte 36-color set.
