> 3 dayOnly using it for three months, the monitor is already flickering. Poor quality MSI customers service is not helpful at all. The repair process is nonsense.

Greater than one weekBought it during prime day sales hoping to finally experience a decent ultrawide monitor. Overall the picture quality was great and i loved playing games like Red Dead Redemption 2 on it. The back light bleeding through is a bit blotchy but it didnt bother me too much. My main 2 problems were while playing some games in full screen mode if i tabbed out and then tried to tab back in the monitor would black out as if it is trying to be detected by my pc again and would refuse to actually let the game show up again. Sometimes forcing me to restart my game. This has happened for so many games i just couldnt deal with it anymore as i hate playing in windowed mode. The other more minor problem is that unlike other monitors on the market, if you turn off the monitor with the power button the pc treats it like it is no longer connected at all forcing any and all windows along with desktop icons to another monitor.(example being if im wanting to sit back and watch youtube on one monitor but want to turn off one monitor to conserve power). I ended up returning this monitor for that reason.

Greater than one weekBought two of these monitors for me and my brother and both of them came packaged very nicely. The monitors themselves are fantastic as the colors on these are amazing and the IPS panel really shows the beauty of this monitor. Its also not curved but many curved monitors are VA and I really wanted an IPS panel widescreen monitor. It also came with power adapters so Im glad I got lucky. EDIT: After a couple of months, one of the monitor is starting to have flicker issues. I replaced the cable and tried it on different GPUs and I am positive that the monitor is now defective. MSI warranty for monitors is also mediocre as I would have to ship the monitor back and I do not have a box big enough to send it to them with. Wish they had an option to visit a near by repair.

> 3 dayI got this monitor used, but even despite it being used I still enjoy using this, the condition it came in was good, though It had a few stuck pixels that only are apparent on certain color backgrounds such as black, or white. The stuck pixels dont bother me one bit during my gaming sessions because I only notice them when I look for them. I came from a VA,144hz, panel and I didnt think I wouldnt notice a difference in refresh rate, but I was massively surprised to find out it did. I noticed the difference mostly in games apposed to desktop use, and I wouldnt be surprised if the jump from 200 to 240hz would be different too. Overall this is a good monitor dont expect the stuck pixel problem I have when youre buying it new.

> 3 dayI have a smaller desk and bought a 34 ultrawide but it didnt fit in my space nicely so I switched it for this. Also, the 34 was a VA panel. While the blacks looked nice on the 34, this 29 IPS beats it in terms of colors and response time. So this is pretty much like a 24 monitor but widened. I love using the extra real estate for a better workflow. For gaming, it provides better immersion. I love this thing so far.

> 3 dayI had to order this product twice first one never showed up so I had to get a refund for that and then re order. They would not send me the first one no matter what I tried they just offered the refund and I was forced to rebuy it for 40 dollars more days later. The monitor itself offers very little options for changing any settings really and what is offered is poorly defined with a crappy and horrible ui on both pc and phone app.

> 3 dayI love just how big and light weight it is along with the amazing refresh rate. It was easy to set up on my table mount and mounting it on my table because of how light weight it is. Only thing that kind of bothers me is some games have the black border since some dont support ultra wide but just the 2560 x 1080 itself

> 3 dayI’ve been using the Lenovo Y25-25 for a year or so. It’s a superior panel in terms of refresh rate, but lower resolution. My initial impressions of this panel is that it’s nearly identical in image quality aside from the obvious pixel density making text appear more clear. Gaming on it has been pleasant so far. There’s a curved Acer monitor with similar specs (30” ultrawide, 2060x1080, 1ms response, 200hz) that is curved, and is $60 cheaper than this. You have a VA instead of IPS on that, so I’ll see tomorrow how they compare. Only other criticism, and I imagine it’s so the depth of the monitor itself is reduced, is an external power supply, which I’m not a big fan of. I preferred the built in PSU, with the desktop PSU cable on my Lenovo rather than the laptop style external PSU. Will update this review in the coming days as I test that competitor from Acer (XZ6) and ASUS ROG STRIX XG309CM. UPDATE: so my summary between the three monitors is that this unit is the best value of the 3! For $269, you’re going to be hard pressed to find an ultrawide with similar response time and refresh rate. Most will be lower refresh rate, and the one that is (ROG STRIX) is over $100 more for just 20hz additional. The ROG has superior refresh rate, and arguably more features, but none that make up for the cost difference. The Acer has identical specs to this but far too much ghosting and streaking due to its VA panel for me to recommend it to any FPS gamer, and it’s VESA mounting takes 3-5 inches of depth from your desk. But at $220 (it’s sale price), it’s a strong value for productivity or people that won’t need the high refresh rate / low response time when gaming. Summary: The 1080p ultrawide market is lacking as more and more panels move to 1440p. It seems people are valuing resolution far more than frames since 2021, despite the graphics cards that can take full advantage of them still being cost prohibitive. For those of us that are using older cards or want to emphasize frames per second over all other factors, 1080p still makes a lot of sense. So if you need a 1080p panel for gaming and productivity, I can’t think of one I’d recommend that packs as much value per dollar over this one. SYSTEM SPECS: (for context to my gaming-related comments): Ryzen 5 5600X NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti Founders Edition 32GB Kingston Fury Renegade 3600 DDR4 RAM (4x8 configuration) Msi B550 Pro-Vdh motherboard Game used for testing: Halo Infinite w/ Custom Video settings (FOV 98°, mostly Low settings with Terrain, Flocking, and two other CPU bound settings set to Ultra).
