I originally ordered this monitor because it checked all the boxes I was looking for! However, when I checked for dead pixels, there were a couple. Amazon sent me a replacement as a result, and when I checked the replacement for dead pixels, not only did the backlight go out within a week, but there was a hair stuck between the LCD and display.

Overview/ Display - Let me first start off by saying this monitor is really one of the best things Ive seen in a while. Moving up from a Macbook pro-2015 15.4 to this display the difference is night and day. This screen is accurate when it comes to colors from what I can tell and it is bright, vivid, and best of all there is absolutely no backlight bleed on my panel or at least very minimal. At 34 inches this is massive, it dwarfs my laptop in comparison. But for productivity and media consumption it rocks. Im assuming gaming performance is good too BUT when Im able to test with an actual PC (currently inc a graphics card queue(-_-) ) I have yet to say. -Stand While Im not using the included stand it is heavy and seems to have great adjustability from what I can tell. The Menu- The menu is intuitive on this display, While it might not be super crazy like some Samsung monitors with literal joysticks it does have a streamlined menu that is easy to change any of the settings that come baked in. The LED ring on the back is a nice touch and has the option to turn it off. -Vesa mount- THIS DISPLAY WORKS WITH VESA, it comes with standoff screws to clear the back plastic and mounts securely to any wall or arm mount. I didnt know this at first but it does come with all the hardware needed to wall mount this. -Price For the price of $420 at the time of purchase, this monitor is outstanding and I highly recommend that anyone pick one up -Final thoughts While I cant say anything about gaming on this just yet I will come back and give my final thoughts on it in the next following months. AND TO NOTE: my computer is only outputting at 2560x1080 to this I cannot wait to see what this thing actually can do!!

Using this for work from home on a company supplied laptop. The resolution is perfect, I can make things small enough to fit a lot on the screen. Colors look good. The back lot LEDs are a bonus. The stand is decent but I just wish it went higher up.

Excellent quality for resolution, brightness and if you are upgrading from 1080p, definitely worth the upgrade. The 34 allows for a productivity boost by being able to work on 3 different tabs at once, meaning no compromising with zooming in. Now heres where it lowers my rating: Right out of the box, one of the cables were damaged and just a bit of a kick in the butt seeing as youre paying a lot of money for a new, quality product, and youd expect it to come to you in good shape. As well, there is no protective wrap on the screen and I smudged it installing it. Id give it 4 for now, as I just received it. Edit: Have now had this monitor for a few days and I stand by my rating. Couple of other things: - The stand seems solid, but its a bit questionable. Probably best to mount with VESA - The menu settings are numerous, so lots of customizability - I was hoping the buttons didnt feel so cheap, they click really loudly and feel like cheap plastic - The monitor hook up to the stand itself wobbles slightly if you move something on your desk, be advised - Overall extra happy with the additional productivity boost (came from a 15.7 laptop screen, now added this monitor to the set up) - Note it comes with a display port, which is only really available for newer PCs. Prepare to either supply your own HDMI or just connect, idk I feel like I missed the memo on that one - I feel like I also missed the memo on the fact that it doesnt have speakers and the back has mild chroma lighting - Its a bit of a hassle to change the brightness, maybe Im missing a macro - Came with a lot of plastic and styrofoam if youre environmentally friendly, be ready to recycle - Make sure the dimensions of the stand itself can fit on your desk, its larger breadth-wise(front to back of the monitor) than expected - when you turn off the monitor, its off - nice if you want to blackout a room - Didnt really notice too much of a difference between my full HD laptop and this screen - Others have been quite impressed by this purchase as well Why should you trust my review? Im an avid gamer and masters student (plenty of multi-tasking and productivity-based activities) who is bound by a code of ethics and standards of professional conduct in my profession. Anyway, hope this helps and pineapple is allowed on pizza (not mandatory or necessary though)

I love this monitor. Great setup, especially at the price point. Im giving it 4 stars because I have it desk mounted. It has a horrible mounting system vs my other monitors. Most monitors have a recessed square/rectangle. The mount fits flush within that. This one is circular and requires standoffs. Looks horrible, adds a point of failure. The mounting system was not well thought out. I would have bought more of these if not for that.

Couple of downsides: * other than the power button, the buttons don’t seem to wake up the monitor * No speakers, but it has 3.5mm audio jack for external speakers * The only way picture-by-picture or picture-in-picture works is by plugging in to one of the HDMI ports and DP. * sometimes it takes a while for the monitor to recognize the laptop or it’s docking station (plugged via HDMI). Don’t seem to have that problem with DisplayPort where my desktop is plugged into.

Picture quality wise this monitor is great. But it will randomly go out in a frozen black pic where even the power button will not work and unit needs to be unplugged. This happens 2-3 times per week. I am going to see if issue persists not that I have a new GPU for with monitor. If it does I will need this serviced as a defect. But when not randomly going out the pic quality and in game response is amazing. I am using stock display port cable that came with the monitor. If this issue resolves itself or if MSI make repairs smooth I will raise this rating.
