Munchkin® Ocean™ Squirts Baby and Toddler Bath Toy, 8 pack

I have a serious love-hate relationship with these toys. I keep buying them because they are cheap and well-made. My kids have never ripped one open or destroyed one. BUT, and this is a big BUT, they get soooooooo gross and gunky inside. There is no way to clean them. Dont believe me? After your kid has been playing with this in the tub for a few months, cut one open yourself and see. If your kids are like my kids, they squirt water from the toy into their mouth. I cringe just thinking about it as a type this. So my solution has been that I just toss them every few months and then a few months later buy another set. If they found some way to clean them while still keeping the durability and squirting power, I would easily pay double the price for a set.

I love the idea of these toys, and my girls loved them but after just a short time they were all filled with mold. I kept them clean but warning you to always watch out for mold! My suggestion is to plug up the hold with a hot glue gun before putting them in the water. This will prevent the water from getting in and growing mold!

My twin 3 1/2 year old granddaughters love these as they take baths together and have squirting fights with each other. they are cute, sturdy and pretty easy to empty the water from. I also purchased the net that sticks to the shower door to keep them dry when not in use.

I guess my expectations were askew. Wanted floating, hand-sized tub toys, with appealing colors and shapes. Hand-sized ok. Appealing colors and shapes ok. But they float up-side down or on their sides. Disappointed. Then I read about the molding problem! Yikes PS: why would anyone want to grow mold in this toy? Why so many positive ratings??

have purchased these 3 times now in the past 2 years. they are perfect for bath or outdoor water play. they stay clean but i like to replace every 6 months for sanitary reasons. there is no water toy that lasts this long without getting moldy (which happens to all water squirt toys). the animals are perfect for learning animals and sounds as well.

I love the value for the squirt toys but totally dissapointed in the quality of my item. The box was smashed in. Whether this was a manufacturing issue or delivery issue it was not presentable. Embarrassing to gift it like this...

They squirt water nicely. The grandbaby was intimidated until he figured out he can squirt you with them. Super cute. Float nicely in water. 2 1/2 year old loves them.
