> 3 dayThere are some things that are really great about this - the fact that you can replace the interior bowl insert is the best. I was a little disappointed that the exterior wasnt more attractive and a bit sturdier. After reading the description more carefully, I can see that it doesnt say it has a wood veneer exterior, but I had thought that it did have a bamboo veneer. Instead its just a fake wood pattern pasted onto a thick cardboard, and the edge is all dinged and scuffed, and it looks much cheaper and fake than in the pictures. I was happy to pay 30-ish$ for a permanent wooden bowl with replaceable inserts, but less so to pay so much for something much more easily damaged and more likely to require replacement itself. Im saving it for a christmas present, so I havent given it to my fellow yet, but Im sure it wont matter to him, hell love it anyway!

> 3 dayIm shocked how much our two cats love this scratch bowl!!! I bought a second and Im about to buy a third so we can have one in each room that has carpet. We also have two tall scratch posts but they are less interested in using them and would scratch at the carpet. Now they immediately go to the bowl and we have no issues. They even like to sleep in them! Out of the box ready. 110% recommend!

Greater than one weekI couldnt believe how much my cats love this bed. If youre like me, you probably bought a bunch of beds they never used or piss in because for some reason they think the bed is a litterbox! I got so frustrated everytime that happened I told myself I would stop buying beds for them. I only got this one because its cardboard and I figured if anything it ties in with my furniture in case they dont use it. They actually sat in it straight away when I opened it and now I usually find them sleeping in there. I couldnt believe it. I never see them sleeping in their beds otherwise. It doesnt even look comfortable but obviously it is for them. I live in a warmer climate so the cardboard might be more cooling than the soft beds I get for them. It definitely doesnt get too warm when they lay on it!

> 3 dayI have three cats and it seems to be their favorite sleeping / scratching spot. The inside is removable and can be replaced when it becomes worn. I put it on the bottom stair landing because there were some issues with scratching the carpet ( I also have other scratching boards nearby). Seems very sturdy.

> 3 dayPurchased this as I prepared for my adopted my cat. At the same time, I bought a plush bed from another retail store. Kitty took to laying in this right away and had zero interested in the other bed, so the bowl gets major points for that. Ive noticed shes finally started doing some scratching on it when she goes to lie down, but Im not sure yet if this can actually replace the need for a scratching post. The cardboard interior seems to be holding up well so far, and its a nice construction. On the downside, for the premium I paid for this product, I figured that the outer rim was a layer of actual wood. Instead its a thin layer of paper - doesnt feel that different than wrapping paper. I dont have high hopes that itll last long term, especially if the cat gets a few scratches outside of the rim. All in all, I feel pretty good about the purchase, but maybe a little misled about the construction of the product. Update: 4/11/18 - Sadly my cat has stopped using the bowl as either a bed or a scratching surface as of a few months ago. Im not certain what triggered the change. Im going to try a cleaning session and see if it brings back her interest. Also, if you ever take the main bowl portion out to clean, be sure you dont push and separate it too much. It didnt take much before I realized this is made of a very dense spiral of cardboard, and getting it to come back together properly was a nightmare!

> 3 dayMy two Maine Coon kitties took to the Cozy Cat Scratcher Bowl immediately...they take turns sleeping in it, and using it as a scratcher and I didn’t need to use any catnip (as I’ve had to do when introducing Timmie and Giselle to something new) in order to get them to use it. The base is extremely sturdy...holding Timmie (22 lbs) without any bending, folding, or creaking...the cardboard insert will fool you into thinking it is a solid piece of cardboard, that’s how tightly wound the strips of cardboard are...it sure fooled me. The insert is not flat, but comfortably curved...thereby enhancing its comfortability tenfold. I will be purchasing a second scratcher bowl so that both kitties can use them all the time.

> 3 dayRecently moved to a new place with hardwood floors. My cat began scratching my furniture since the move so I bought this item in hopes that she would scratch this instead. It didnt work initially, the cat was more interested in the box it came in. After adding cat nip to the bowl my cat became addicted to it. She scratches and lounges in the bowl all the time. I also like the wood grain design. It blends in easily with the rest of the decor. This was a great purchase as it looks great, my cat loves it, and the bowl prevents my furniture from being destroyed.

Greater than one weekAs soon as I took this out of the box, Hayden was all over it scratching and then plopped inside and took a nap. My other cat, Hendricks tried to overthrow the king in his bowl, but to no avail. Now they share it off an on. Great purchase. BTW my cats are ragdoll youngsters (about 1 year old) and about 13 pounds and barely fit, but love to sit in it anyway with furry skin spilling over the top. I am not sure what will happen in two years but right now it looks like a large cupcake with frosting overflowing when either one curls up in it to sleep. I wish they had a bigger size in this shape and style. Only 4 stars because it is all cardboard (although the frame does look like wood it is not) and is expensive for cardboard.

Greater than one weekI purchased the scratcher for one of our kitties that had begun to scratch on the furniture. I hoped she would redirect her claws toward the scratcher bowl. It worked! I was really happy about that and pleased when I noticed that she also loved to sleep in the bowl. One problem - her brother thought the bowl looked comfy too. He would chase her out of the bowl and take it over for himself. I bought a second bowl - problem solved. Happy kitties.

Greater than one weekOur daughter sent one of these as a Xmas present to our two cats. One of our cats just monopolized the scratcher and wouldn’t let the other use it. So, we ordered another one from Amazon. Our cats just love it and use it to snooze as well. Great product!
