Nero Platinum 2019

Not useful or easy to use.

Better than Adobe Photoshop and cheaper.

Its that time of year again - Nero 2019 has been released, which means its time for my annual soup-to-nuts review of the application. Per the usual disclosure, Nero furnished me with a copy of the software for this review, but hasnt otherwise compensated me.

Any recoding and recording is a breeze with Nero Platinum. The drag and drop interface is so easy to use yet versatile enough to play around with for great effects. The downloadable content is quite good as well. I had separate recoding and recording software that this replaced and the package integration into one product makes projects much easier. I have not tried tech support but the online website has answered all my questions and given me ideas.

I especially enjoy casting

This is a pretty good program for the money but is nowhere near professional or even prosumer. I will give this to someone and get Premiere Pro or Vegas Pro.

Worked great, where other software packages did not

Absolutely useless for the reason I purchased it. Says it can rip dvds to your computer, but cant decode copyright protected dvds or even rip a burnt DVD. There are free online programs that can accomplish this. Shame on me perhaps for not doing better homework, but it does have a program that claims to accomplish this. Not the case unfortunately. What a waste.

2021 brings updates pushed by Nero that clobber this perpetual install. Everything that does open now opens slowly and programs reports corrupted installations. Dont buy!

Its ok if you wanna do minimal things as far as converting audio from like mp3 to mp4 etc.
