> 3 dayNo assembly required. Very sturdy, well built steps. They dont move or slide at all on my wood floor when my dogs use it. I have a miniature, long haired dachshund that mainly uses it (hes about 11lbs) but I have an ageing Boston Terrier/Beagle mix (~18 lbs, I call her Phatty McPhatty), that is using it more and more (she normally jumps up and down but Im trying to get her to use the stairs). I think others have said it but the only improvement I could see making would be to make the steps deeper/stick out farther, the dogs seem to have to pay more attention to the steps. I previously had these flimsy, plastic steps, that I used for years. They worked but constantly had problems with them sliding on the floor (I put anti-skid things under them but then my dachshund would think they were toys so Id find them all over the house). So overall, a much better product.

> 3 dayGreat quality..sturdy enough for a LARGE DOG...my dog is getting up there in age and was having a hard time getting up onto my bed..since it said it was for cats I was hesitant to purchase it but as soon as I open it I could tell by the quality it would hold up for my large dog and it was made to last...great but...couldnt be happier with my purchase and my dog LOVES it...I had to kinda direct her up it the first 2 times but after that she immediately goes to the steps to get up now...dont look any further these are perfect!!

Greater than one weekI guess I didnt read it so thoroughly and was prepared to assemble it. Was totally happy it was put together. This is very sturdy. My biggest dog is about 65# but I actually think I could go up these steps and Im about 120#. The cats took to it immediately. My 2 dogs are taking a little long but are starting to use it without me making them. The biggest dog is a senior and cannot jump up on my bed any more. Shes not sure about the steps, but seems to be getting the hang of it I think. Yes, as some reviewers have mentioned, there are some splits on the polls and the poles are a little rough. But if you are concerned about the roughness, a little sandpaper helps it in a snap. As to the splits, dont know how much lumber youve bought, but the splits wont hurt on something like this. Plus, I like the fact that it shows they are using all the wood rather than throwing it away and wasting it. Would buy again.

> 3 dayThese stairs are great! I anticipated having to put them together when I received them, but they came assembled! Also they are very sturdy yet they arent as heavy as most stairs! I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the construction and materials for the low price. I would definitely buy more items from this company!

> 3 dayThis is an excellent aid for my elderly cat. She can now get up and down from the couch without jumping. She has short legs, the stair spacing is just right. She figured out how to go up and down them quickly. Very well made and sturdy. The carpet covering is plush.

> 3 dayMy 15 year old cat has had bad shocks for a while and was rappelling up my quilt to get on my bed -- further hurting her joints. She immediately took to the stairs which I placed at the foot of the bed and has been using them every since. She has become more mobile now that shes not expending so much energy to climb onto the bed. Some of my other cats scratch on it but the carpeting is holding up well. This was a GREAT purchase. Wish Id known about these earlier!

> 3 dayI purchase for my 16 year old cat. Its very easy for her to use the stairs to get on and off the bed. She goes up and down them 100 % of the time. Great investment!! They are very sturdy, I have used them to reach the ceiling fan too and they supported my body weight. (About 150 lbs.)

> 3 dayThis is perfect for my older cats who cant jump on my bed. It also serves as a great cat scratching post. My only small issue is the deep crevices in the posts, which is not very aesthetically pleasing but it still remains very sturdy.

> 3 dayMy biggest gripe is that the distance from one step to another is much higher than indicated. I am attaching pictures of seller’s dimensions and actual dimensions. From Base to Step 1 is 7-3/4 inches. From Step 1 to Step 2 is 6 inches. Same for Step 2 to Step 3, 6 inches. I purchased for my two 6-pound dogs, one is taller than the other. The taller one can use these steps. The shorter one cannot. My cats don’t need steps. They bounce off walls and fly through the air—yep, even my 14 year old is still (knock gently on split wood) quite actively crazy. AS FOR THE WOOD: “Product features natural Wood Posts that may have cracks or natural defects...They only contribute to the natural look of the Wood.” Yeah, okay. I knew when I purchased the description was ridiculous. Who wants split wood? It’s not cracked, it’s split. There is a difference, but one that I can live with considering the price. CARPET: nice dark beige color. Soft. I will be returning.
