Bought this because the Sony charging dock is hard to find. The Nexigo is the same price as the Sony so go with the original if you can. Out of the box the back charging port does not work at all. The front charger works fine. Ordered replacement and will update once it arrives. Nexigo adds accessories for the controllers such as extensions on the trigger buttons and rubber caps for joysticks. Don’t waste your time. When you pull the adhesive off for the trigger pieces the whole adhesive patch comes off making it useless. The rubber caps are nice, but do not stay on.

Love this item

First thing first is to make sure that you are getting the correct product. Nexigo has several chargers for the PS5 but this one got it almost perfectly right. The controllers fit almost perfectly on the unit, you dont have to place a special attachment to the usb-c port to make it fit, nor do you have to install the controller upside down and try to get it to slide perfectly into the adapter. This unit just works. The style of the unit fits in perfectly with the PS5 looks as if it could have been a product directly from Sony. The orange glow while charging fits in perfectly with the theme and the fact that it stops charging when fully charged is definitely a plus. The controllers seat very well although there was some minor play to learn where to place it, but it does have a small guide that gets you to the right place and unlike the review of some other 3rd party units once it is seated it stays seated. For me the included Thumb Grip Kit is a waste. Others may like it so I wont entirely dismiss its value but it has no value to me. And the major PLUS was that after waiting a long time for original PS5 availability to no avail, I decided to try this product and it did not disappoint. I would give it a solid 9.5 out of 10. The slight deduction is that the seating, although good, with the lack of the magnetic connection it is not as good as the original Sony product. Highly recommended.

Better than I thought it would be

Honestly, I prefer this over the Sony Branded Dock. The color match is great, it lights up like the PS5 in Rest Mode, and it even comes with controller attachments for the same price! The only things I don’t like are that the light is a slightly darker orange so it doesn’t match 100% but it’s not bad, and it the controllers don’t magnetize to the dock. Other than that it is sturdy, looks nice, and the simple design really compliments the PS5. I would link pictures but I they don’t do it enough justice.

Really good charger. Works well, and looks clean.

No problem

If controller is docked in the charger while the PS5 is powered on and in use, the controller doesnt charge. It only charges when PS5 is off.
