After a few weeks of using it, it suddenly just stopped working. The labels come out blurry. Also, I didn’t like how it kept making a loud chime every time I turn it on and off. Update: Support helped me out very much with my problems. I highly recommend them.

The first printer would not connect. The seller was very good in response and sent me another one free of charge. The second one connected right away and works great. Good device and good customer service.

I really wish there was another way to get it to work without having to download yet ANOTHER app, but when it comes to phones, the only other way would be a direct connection or some kind of built-in function on your phone (which we dont have). So you download the app (which doesnt take long at 5G speeds) and at least it doesnt require me to pay for the app (though it does say something about premium features even though the base program will always be free). The VIP functions are basically a) the program inserts the correct time/date for you automatically. Otherwise you have to edit that yourself manually b) special fonts c) small icon/emoji type pictures d) special templates that make use of special fonts... and thats really it. All for the price of $65 a year or $6.50 a month. Thats kinda expensive considering what you get, but I dont see myself needing any of this stuff. Other than that, it comes pre-loaded with a roll of labels and getting it set up is pretty simple. I just had to take out the roll of labels and take the tape off the end to let the labels come out the end of the printer, then I turned it on, paired it via bluetooth through the app, and that was it. I was printing stuff pretty quickly. Now the only downside to this printer is that the labels are pretty small, like 1/2 an inch wide and 1 inch long. BUT its a pretty neat way to label stuff. You can put your name on stuff, you can make a QR code with whatever you want (text/urls), and you can even take a picture of yourself and put it on a label (though its limited to B&W). All of this is pretty neat, but if you use it, you might want to block certain data being sent back to China. I noticed on my pihole that it was trying to connect to a known domain thats related to trojans, so thats really unfortunate. I doubt I can even mention what the app is trying to connect to in the review. Anyway, just put it in airplane mode before you use the app and it should be no problem, but I wouldnt trust it without a pihole or something to block it. The printer is pretty neat though, and the app wouldnt be an issue if it wasnt connecting to trojan/malware domains.

All Niimbot label makers will ruin anything you print if they dont detect an approved RFID tag in the paper chamber, but the prices are competitive so Im not going to dwell on that. This printer is easy to use and compact. I gave this printer to someone that had never used one before and they were making labels on their own in minutes. Now theres labels on everything. Niimbot printers are mobile device only, theres no desktop/PC app to get that I could find but these printers are portable/mobile focused and done well enough that its not a knock against them. Theyre quality devices that are very useful and a great option for label making especially if you want to add custom graphics and things like QR/bar codes.

Loads weird, as the tape just gets thrown into the maker and I guess it just eventually finds the edges of the tape (you waste the first one). But it works, but you are confined to the label size it supports, unlike other label makers. If this is the size you want and need, its a great small tool to have around.

This is a really cool label printer. Not only does it print text in labels, but you can print pictures, logos, barcodes, etc.. You can do a lot with this label printer. You can also get lots of different types of labels to print on. Amazing label printer. More so than I expected.

This is a pretty good little label printer. Everything is controlled thru the app by connecting to my phone to the printer via Bluetooth. I didnt have any troubles connecting. Ive only been using it for text labels and its pretty easy to quickly create text labels with it. Probably not as quick as the ones that have a built in keyboard, but with this I can add emojis and Chinese characters. It does have one quirk where you have to use a USB-A to USB-C cable to charge. It doesnt charge with a USB-C to USB-C cable. The app also seems to have some sort of subscription service for extra features but I dont think thats worth it for me.

Coming from a typing machine style label maker, this is definitely more easy to use. The app is very powerful and can even customize the styles with a lot of freedom. However I couldnt find any dishwasher or washing machine safe labels. It would be great to have those so I can print labels for some kids stuff at the day care
