Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy‑Con

Everything is in perfect order when it arrived. Though I didn’t know it would have to be charged upon arrival. Was looking forward to playing it as soon as everything was hooked up to the television, but I had to use handheld mode which made it die while setting up! Minor gripes aside, it’s a great console. We all know this. $20 for the worst online gaming service on the market is a bit much for me though.

Got this for my son for his birthday. This was a big stretch for our budget. I either missed - or it wasn’t well advertised- but this Switch is set for Europe. None of the cords/ plugs work for American power grid. I have to buy adapters- which is another stretch out of my budget. I’m very unhappy with the purchase because of this issue, but I feel I can’t take it away from my son - he is so happy - so I will Just have to deal With the consequences.

I cannot rave about the Switch enough!!! It truly is one of the best gaming consoles. I never was really a big “gamer” but always enjoyed Nintendo games such as Mario Kart and other related games. This console is great for both kids and adults, it is also great for solo or multiplayer games. I absolutely love the convenience of being able to play either on the big screen or handheld mode. The battery life on the handheld is pretty good for it being a larger sized console but if you’re playing for multiple hours I will need to be charged. All in all this truly was one of the best purchases I’ve made for entertainment. I highly recommend this console to everyone of all ages!

The ability to swap from dock to handheld still amazes me to this day. The library of games is crazy good, The battery life isnt bad, and the build is fairly durable. The screen is prone to scratching due to it being plastic, but a $10 screen protector fixes that easily. The controllers do go bad over time. I would recommend also purchasing a pro controller due to it having a better feel for me personally and they last far longer than any Joycon Ive had. This purchase date was for my sister but Ive had mine since near release and have gone through 3 pairs of Joycon, meanwhile my oldest pro controller (between 4 or 5 years) of the 3 I currently have has only shown slight signs of degradation. There is a Nintendo tax on some games which basically means they cost more than they would on other consoles (e.g. Borderlands collection I got on pc for like $20 where as the switch is charging $50 for games released between 2009-2014 so that you can play them on graphically worse hardware, but the portable part may be worth it for some people with certain games). The online services are really bad a lot of the time especially when playing with people who are far away or have otherwise unstable connections. Playing with random people online can be a very painstaking process a lot of the time. With all this being said, I love this console. It is the only console I use (I also have a pc and a ps4). I only look at it so critically due to how much I love it. If I didnt spend hours and hours using this thing I wouldnt be telling you all its flaws in a 4-star review. It can be frustrating sometimes, but the exclusives are amazing (there are also a lot of great 3rd party games but I mainly mean that BOTW is a masterpiece and Mario Odyssey is phenomenal) and the home console and handheld idea is honestly incredible. I basically wrote an essay about this thing to tell you how much I love it.

I didnt think Id like the switch after buying one for my son and seeing him play it. He said he liked it and I was still stuck on my WiiU. However, Im loving it right now! I love the handheld game that you can take with you if you would like and I love the console that I can play on my big if Id like a. The only drawback is the little controller holder is quite small said sometimes uncomfortable if you play for extended periods. Other than that, I havent found a flaw :)

Used mainly for Smash bros. but more titles have been released recently :)

Delivered safely with no damage whatsoever. definitely not for children under 12 though, as it does feel pretty delicate. i expected worse quality due to the other reviews claiming the joycons were super flimsy, but was pleasantly surprised. the joycons are great. they do feel a little fragile, which they are, seeing as theyre all plastic. started my first run of Hades, and the game runs super smooth and the audio is amazing.

If your on the fence of getting a switch I highly recommend that you go for it. There is a large assortment of games now In their library. If you can find any communities its also pretty fun. Not to mention they have some of the greatest games of all time whether is BOTW or Animal crossing. This is a must have for kids AND Adults as well.
