I did read the dimensions before ordering this but wow, its really big! This is in a 40 gallon terrarium and it takes up almost half. Filled it with digging material and still had enough room to place a cactus hideout with bathing sand.

This is the perfect sand bath container. My hamster spends so much time in his sand bath. He even uses the back corner as a litter box. The niteangel wheel fits perfect on the ledge. It was a great addition to my niteangel cage.

Great product! Very well put together and high quality! My gerbils use it every day and it still looks great!

Have to waterproof it

He uses it now as a bed and bathroom. (^_^*) I think if I got something smaller he would use it just for fun.

I never knew they use the sandbath so much, she has enjoyed this in the environment and I will always have a sandbath now.

UPDATED REVIEW (4 stars): The company has reached out to me and is sending me a new sandbox. They have excellent communication and fast response time. I feel the need to raise my rating because I really do love their products I have purchased so far. Hoping my hamster really enjoys his new sandbox soon! Original 1 star review: I received a used box that has the urine of who knows what animal in it along with some leftover sand stuck to it. The bowl looks like it was scrubbed really hard as well as some parts are rough. $20 for used wooden box? How am I supposed to sanitize it to be sure it is safe for my hamster?!

My son loves this for his hamster. Very durable and easy to clean.

Had the box for a couple of weeks and didnt notice the 4 NAILS coming through the platform in the the actual sand box.. crappy quality control!!!!!! Luckily my fiance found the problem and fixed it!!!!
