I cant believe that these arent a common design everywhere. In the wild hamsters live in multi chamber burrows, typically having chambers for sleeping, potty, and food storage. Ive had some big Syrians that have had trouble fitting into the typical Syrian sized huts, but the next size up is typically designed for guinea pigs, and just way too big for them. I also have had so many hamsters that I havent been able to potty train - they mostly pee in their hut! This house solves all of those problems! I wish I had it for all of my past Syrians! My hamster Dexter just doesnt understand having a pee corner. After upgrading his hut, he now has a sleep chamber (where he keeps his stash of food, so he can sleep on it), a potty chamber, and then he wont tell me what he uses the first chamber for, but Ive observed him using it for grooming, and as a look out. He can check out his surroundings before he comes out, and can feel secure. It fits perfectly in my 40 gallon tank. With the typical hut you can buy, if you need to check on your hamster, once you lift the hut up, you destroy their nest. I love that this has a lid so I can just lift it up without ruining all their hard work. I just got 3 new baby Syrians and Im eagerly awaiting these huts to come back in stock. Update: finally in stock so I bought the remaining two I needed, and they both came in with part of the seam popping apart in the same place. Not sure if they were damaged in transit or what, the boxes looked fine. We ended up having to glue them and now have to wait for the glue to dry before we can use them. Not ideal for the price. Update: 3 months later and one of the seams popped open again. I have a very upset Syrian who got his house stolen so it can be glued again. Love the idea of these huts but the quality is just not great. Plus they are not sealed so they are just soaking up pee, so that is something to think about if you purchase.

This product is the perfect hideaway for your hamster. My hamster tends to spend most of her time cuddled up in one the chambers. The quality of the wood it great and super smooth. Definitely would recommend for your furry friend.

the product is amazing, me and my hamster love it. however, I ordered the 6 room small and they sent a 2 room small. pretty bad communication but they refunded and I got a chamber in the end, so im happy with it.

My gerbils love it! They instantly accepted it as their home, and made a nest inside right away. I bought this because my babies kept tunneling and things at the top of the bedding would fall through. I was concerned about something falling on them, so I barred this under the bedding and place their sand bath, and food bowl on top of the hideout. Now I dont have to worry when they burrow.

We have the house over 4 to 6 inches of bedding and our hamster starts her burrows here as well as using one compartment as her potty room. It makes weekly cleanings of her bathroom (she only bathes in her sand) quick and easy. We can easily reach in to feel if her food cache is dry. One of our best hamster purchases.

I am taking in a lady Syrian hamster in need of her forever home. Niteangel never fails to impress! I was not prepared for the size of this house maze. This thing is huge! It is sturdy too. This thing will make a nice hideout for the little lady. It fits nicely in my 50-gallon bin enclosure and I place her sandbath on top of it.

My little ham loves this thing. It was a great buy. The extensions if you buy them are not sturdy but otherwise its fine!
