Noctua NF-A14 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (140mm, Brown)

Update: bought the 150mm Noctua fan and its far quieter than this 140mm fan. Only airflow is audible with that one with no droning. If you can fit it, Id recommend the 150mm or the 120mm NF A12. Avoid this fan and get a different Noctua fan until they sort out this manufacturing or design issue.

I think using it as a case fan is little over kill but come on, look at this badboy.

I bought two of these for use on my Lian Li case. They well very well at moving a ton of air. However, they are pretty noisy at their high RPM. Just be aware that you either want to have their rpm lowered or work with headphones. They sure do keep things cool though.

Great smooth and quiet

Even though these are the made in China variant these fans are still the most quiet fans I have had in a computer. When I was making a new build I decided on both these fans for intake and a Noctua cpu cooler and I have to say they made a loyal buyer at of me. As long as they keep up with this quality and proformance I think Ill be using their fans and coolers for a long time.

I bought these fans thinking they were a good choice for silent operation. Boy was I wrong. I ordered two fans and one worked perfectly but the other made a constant periodic clicking noise. No problem, Ill order a replacement. Turns out my replacement fan made the same exact clicking noise, but twice as fast. For what reason Ill never know, but Noctua will start losing a lot of money if this many of their fans are defective.

Im not too much for die hard brand loyalty but Im blown away impressed by every Noctua fan Ive owned. My Thermaltake fan that came with my case was vibrating the whole computer and was extremely loud. Back to whisper silence - thank you Noctua!

Best fans you can buy for your PC without a doubt. Extremely quiet and extremely effective. And extremely ugly.
