> 24 hourIve got a Quantum SuperLoader 3 LTO5 Autoloader that I use for backing up ~24TB of home data. The SuperLoader was noisier than the rest of my server equipment - This includes a ProLiant ML350G6 with 8 hard drives in it. I was spending time on Amazon trying to look at noise reduction blankets and the like before I thought to check why the SuperLoader was so loud. It was its Nidec 60mm fan. The SuperLoader is made to operate in a crowded rack with an ambient temperature of up to 95F. My SuperLoader sits on an Anthrobench with 9 rubber feet keeping air beneath it, in an air conditioned room that never gets above 80F. I dont need the 28CFM the noisy little bugger in it puts out. The ~18CFM this fan puts out, I figured, would be fine.

> 24 hourI have a piece of studio gear that came with the loudest, most obnoxious sounding fan that is built inside a sealed unit, and yet its still is as loud as someones excited conversation in a quiet room.

> 24 hourThick frame for a small fan and doesnt seem to blow much air. I originally bought this to cool my VRMs but it didnt perform like I thought it would so Ill find another use for it.

> 24 hourAs always Noctua knocks it out of the park with their products. If you have a DVR, NVR, USB RAID box, etc that takes 60mm fans trust me these are worth it. I spent half as much on the first set of cheap junk fans and they lasted a whole year. I anticipate these lasting significantly longer since my 120mm desktop PC Noctua fans are 5+ years old and work like new.

> 24 hourThese are very high quality fans and great for vibration or noise-sensitive applications. The only issue is they dont move as much air as I would have expected at the rated 3000 RPMs. If you have these in an open environment, you absolutely need to use them with a baffle so that they dont interfere with themselves in order to get any noticeable pressure out of them. They will work best in a small closed space that needs air flow.
