> 3 dayOrdered 2 of these to swap out the loud fans in my mediasonic proboxs. I was able to make them fit with the existing back plate by ordering these screws with the fans. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N3UXYJ6/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_5). Now my enclosures are running with zero noise!

01-06-2025I bought four of these fans to install in a 2U server case to replace some fans that were just too noisy for the environment of the server. As expected, these Noctua fans are significantly quieter than the original fans while still moving plenty of air. There is no question that these fans are of the highest quality, as weve come to expect from Noctua, and likewise there is no surprise that the cost is borderline ridiculous for a fan, but when near-silence is required, you pay what it costs to get there, and this is the product to do it. As of 2019-05-04, I rate five stars.

> 3 dayAfter installing Noctua fans in my system is dead silent. The Seagate 2tb HDD is nearly as loud as these fans. Dead silent! I would recommend to anyone whos interested just for the quietness factor as I was.

Inner Surface Microstructures
With the tips of the fan blades ploughing through the boundary layer created by the Inner Surface Microstructures, flow separation from the suction side of the blades is significantly suppressed, which results in reduced blade passing noise and improved airflow and pressure efficiency.
