> 3 dayIm running a Ryzen 5800x in a cooler master nr200p with a panel extension bracket for the glass panel. Theres a ventus rtx 3080 sitting right underneath this cooler. The NH-U12A chromax.black is set in the intake configuration with 2 top lian li unifan sl120 fans for exhaust and 2 arctic p12 pwm slim fans for intake at the bottom. My pbo boost settings are PPT 125, TDC 82, EDC 130 , with frequency curves set with 2 best cores at -15 and all other cores at -30. Running cinebench 23, I have all cores at 4.625 and max temp never went above 79C. The fan curve was set to around 1750rpm at max above 75C. It idles around 37C. A week before I got this cooler, I tried the thermalright peerless assassin 120A. Its a nice svelte yet beefy dual tower cooler. I used lian li unifans on that instead of the stock ones. Unifans are rates at 2.50 H2O/, stock only had static pressure of 1.5 H20/ so I didnt even bother with them. I also used noctuas h2 thermal paste for both of these coolers. With the same pbo settings, in Cinebench 23, it had all cores at 4.5ghz and a max temp of 82C. Unifans were also set to 1750 rpm. The unifans were much louder at even 1500 rpms than the noctua fans at full blast. I was perfectly fine with the thermalright. Unifans looked really nice on it and putting 1 fan in the back instead of the front allowed me to still see the Corsair platinum dominator ram and performance was decent enough for this CPU in a sff case. But I was one of those who were waiting on the NH-U12A chromax.black for 6 months. So when it came out a week later, I just had to check it out. Im so glad I did. It is so much quieter, temperature drops down way quicker and idles 6C cooler. I shouldve tried the noctua fans on the thermalright heatsink but didnt real think about it. But considering the $46 thermalright price and $60 for the Unifans, youre right in the area of the NH-U12A chromax.black anyway. This cooler was worth the wait and the hype is real. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayI had a corsair H100i v2, and decided to switch to a premium air cooler. At first I was really skeptical, I love the AIO but after the switch I am very happy. i5 12600k runs 25C idle and 50-55C while playing games. Overall 10/10.

> 3 dayI know its been a few months since I installed this Bad Boy. Im very impressed with this air cooled fan. & Its Very Very Quiet. Only issue i have is that now I cant close the side panel, because the fan it self sticks out about a quarter inch (1/4). But its OK. I got rid of the originally Noisy fan that this ROG G15CE came with. My gaming rig wouldnt restart before because it was getting too HOT. System was overheating bad. About 85+ Degrees. My RTX3080 was getting too hot also. Now its stable at about 40-50 degrees while playing battlefield or diablo (for hours). I Love it. We got a winner here. Thank you Noctua. :) A+

> 3 dayThe Stock Cooler on an Intel i7-8700 was not cutting it when pushed hard. When importing point cloud scan data the CPU would constantly hit thermal limits at 99-100c hindering performance and putting the hardware in a dangerous temp zone. The U12A keeps an average temp of 62c with individual core peeks at 78c during extended 100% cpu utilization. CPU performance now remains consistent and no more loud fan noise ramping up and down. Good investment to prolong the useful life of my existing hardware. The Cooler, Fans & contents of installation kit are exceptional and well worth the money.

> 3 dayI installed this cooler in a new computer build in April of 2022. I made sure to buy the black one since I didnt want the brown one in my completely no-windows case. Because reasons. Mostly, I didnt want to see brown fans every time I opened the case to clean it. Based on other reviews, Im not the only person who feels this way. I digress. The install was straightforward (although there are quite a number of steps compared to the old snap on coolers). Once inside the case, the cooler is whisper quiet and takes good care of my i7-12700K processor, even under load. A few things to note:

> 3 dayRemoved my Corsair H100i AIO liquid cooler in favour of this system - on my 5600X, the temperatures under load were tyically in the 60s to early 70s, matching, if not beating my previous system. Well done to Noctua for this, going to keep it for years and years to come. Only issue is that its quite pricey.
