Noctua NH-U12A, Premium CPU Cooler with High-Performance Quiet NF-A12x25 PWM Fans (120mm, Brown)

This Noctua NH-U12A is excellent cooler for air cooled. Easy to install, easy connect brackets and wires. Works as intented. Only issue I am having is when starting my computer related to fast boot on Gigabyte Z390 Motherboard, one of fans in front most times and rear at times turns on then turns off at times. I have to disable fast boot when get error code 66 then works fine or have to restart system. But other then that this Noctua NH-U12A work awesome and very quiet and works keep CPU cooled. Then again this is new system I built, so going thru teething process. Do not ask me questions on this product about size, weight, if mounts on certain motherboards, etc. Go directly to Noctua website and look up specs. Thank you.

Using it on a 4790k @4.6ghz/1.3v. Keeps it nice and cool 40c idle and 60ish under load.

Was having heat problems with my VR setup. Double-fan water cooling system just wasnt getting the job done. This works a treat, and is pretty quiet. Getting it mounted was a bit of a fuss, but nothing too bad. They recommend dismounting it every time you travel with your case. Because of how tall it is, it can put a lot of force on the CPU chip if youre driving down the road and the case is bumping or jostling around. Havent traveled with mine yet, but Id probably follow that recommendation.

The cooler performs very well, however it is a bit expensive when compare to D15S which is cheaper but performs better, I bought this for maximum RAM compatibility , tho I thought they should lower the price to around 80 by including just one fan, let the consumer choose to have the second one.

The tower itself is good quality but the fans seem to be cheap. They are heavy (blades) and wobble at higher rpms. The fact that the rpms are limited to only 2000 only confirm my observation. it is poorly designed to work at high rpms. so the duarability metrics from manufacturer should be questioned as well. The noise comes with the wobbling. ordered some lower quality be quiet coolers and they have less vibration with poorer bearing and can even go up to 2500 rpms while being quiet still.

It is heavy and big. You have to put in your ram stick first as the cooler just clears them at least on my board. Plan it out first which way you are going to mount it.
