This product adequately cools down my CPU on my computer APX ROG XIII.

The cooler I received proved difficult to install. There were moments I wondered if Id be able to install it at all. After some research, I found some others had the same experience. My D-15(S) that Id gotten some years back was a breeze to install compared to this NH-U12A, and still is.

I have this mounted on a stock Ryzen 9 3950X. During Cinebench R23, the highest temperature reading observed was 66° C with an ambient temperature of 23° C. The thermal paste used was NT-H2. The case used was a SilverStone RL05 with twin Noctua NF-A14 fans up front and a single NF-A12x25 in the rear. All fans were under BIOS-optimized PWM control.

Was having heat problems with my VR setup. Double-fan water cooling system just wasnt getting the job done. This works a treat, and is pretty quiet. Getting it mounted was a bit of a fuss, but nothing too bad. They recommend dismounting it every time you travel with your case. Because of how tall it is, it can put a lot of force on the CPU chip if youre driving down the road and the case is bumping or jostling around. Havent traveled with mine yet, but Id probably follow that recommendation.

Keeps the CPU very cool. Often have to touch the fan to see if its really spinning when its on. Other fans can be very noisy

I have an ASUS Tuf Gaming H670 Pro mobo and a Corsair iCue 5000x RGB case, so I have lots of room between the mobo and wall, but the area around the CPU is limited, so I had to very carefully consider what cooler to buy. After contacting different companies, asking on forums, and comparing sizes and statistics, I was able to determine that, along with those considerations and input, their warranty put this product as the best choice. As they are located in Austria, there was something of a communication barrier, but they were very helpful. I dont care for their website design, since it doesnt provide an easy way to compare products and only lists their coolers and whether its compatible with your mobo, and they didnt seem concerned about my feedback on that, but the product itself is solid and will supposedly do a great job (along with all my case fans) of keeping the CPU cool in the summer 90+ degree weather without an AC. Well see...My only complaint is that it wasnt perfectly obvious as to which way I should face it on the CPU. Since the height of the heatsink is taller than the fans, you can have them perfectly parallel, or offset, and it has lots of heatsink pipes, meaning it cools the CPU more efficiently than a cooler with fewer pipes. If youve got limited space around the CPU, and you dont want the cooler to overhang things nearby, this is definitely one to consider. It comes with extras, including an AMD mounting kit, and spare parts, as well as heat compound, LNA cable, y-splitter cable, wrench, mobo backplate to reduce stress on the mobo due to the weight, etc.. Recommended!
