Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4, Premium CPU Cooler for AMD AM4 (Brown)

Great cooler. Fantastic build quality. I had a Cooler Master Hyper D92 and I needed a AM4 kit for it after starting a whole new build with a 2600x. I bought one for free from Cooler Master and after waiting a week, I got the bracket mounted to the mobo just to find out that CM didnt drill the mounting holes on the bracket the same size as the actual cooler. Frustrated, I went looking for other AM4 coolers and the pickings are slim. I found this Noctua one and unlike pretty much every other AM4 kit for air coolers, most of the comments explained that this kit actually does fit. I installed it in 5 minutes and it thankfully comes with mounting brackets for two different orientations (back exhaust or top exhaust) which was a build saver thanks to the mobo I have. Buy it, its better than all the rest and its not even close. Also, it comes with a screw driver and thermal paste which isnt even necessary considering most competitors dont do this but Noctua went above and beyond so it can be a truly all in one cooler solution. I see temps about 15c lower than the garbage Wraith cooler and thats with the 2600xs stock turbo boost that hits 4.2ghz at 1.4+v.

I overclocked this CPU using this cooler, and guess what? The cooler never broke past 30 DEGREES Celsius during idling time! Im running a Pinnacle Ridge CPU from AMD, during heavy loads this CPU Cooler will keep your CPU under 50 Celsius! With proper ventilation, good PC fans (I have at least 7 fans running inside of the unit) this cooler will keep your CPU safe and sound, you just use the thermal paste that is supplied with this cooler and youre good to go. What more could you literally ask for if you want to keep your investment safe??

The installation of this CPU cooler is easy and it is almost silent

Possibly the best air cooler for Ryzen. The bigger 140mm models will likely have trouble fitting into cases, this 120mm model barley fits into my Fractal Define R4. At 3.6Ghz, my R7 1700 loads at 56C, compared to 88C on the stock cooler.

Keeps my AM4 nice and cool, not a pain to install and I havent thought about it since installing it 2 years ago

This cooler is well worth the money. I overclocked my Ryzen7 1700 to 3.7GHz, at 1.26v. At those settings, it would peak at about 70c, while running Prime95 small FFTS, with an ambient temperature of 30C(86f). It idles at around 40C. It was peaking at 73C, at stock clocks, with the Wraith Spire RGB. The fit and finish is also excellent. It feels great to get what you pay for.
