The stand is beautifully manufactured and, from a commercial-design perspective, very attractive. It is sturdy: it will most assuredly hold the 40+ pounds claimed by the manufacturer. But therein lies the problem, at least for me. The joints, which to the best of my characterization are simply relying on the intrinsic friction of aluminum-on-aluminum interfaces (which is significant), are so very stiff that changing the height and pitch of the computer is very difficult: one must place the computer aside and really manhandle the stand to make an adjustment. This problem limits significantly the applicability of the stand when frequent height/pitch changes are desired.

Ive been working from home for about 4.5 months and finally decided it was time to make my workstation more ergonomic after noticing my bad posture and neck strains. It arrived earlier than expected which was great. Set up was easy - nothing to screw in or assemble. Takes a little arm strength to adjust the height and angle but overall its very sturdy and stable.

This stand is perfect for my needs. Fully extended, it is a bit less stable and tends to lean back just a bit; it would easily tip over backwards if nudged. But I have it on my desk snug against an 8 riser shelf (Ikea) with 2 large monitors on either side. Less than fully extended, the stand is very stable. Two 1/2 ledge feet at the bottom of the laptop platform keeps my computer safely seated even fully open. Im tall and the stand raises my MacBook Pro camera to the perfect height (desktop to camera is 18) so I can conduct online meetings without slouching in my chair. I recommend this stand; however, if you need it fully extended, make sure you have something that it can lean against. If the back of the stand that sits on the desk was 3 or 4 inches longer, itd probably be more stable.

Really good product, love that is really sturdy and it doesnt fall over time. Its been used with all kinds of systems, from 13 inches to 15 heavy laptops and it works great.
