Nutricost L-Lysine Powder 1KG (2.2lbs) - Pure L-Lysine, Non-GMO, Gluten Free

I purchased this on 8/29/20 and it sat in my bin with my other vitamins (in my kitchen) until I finished the last container. When I opened this, it was burned around the edge. I have no idea how this might have happened at the factory... it was still in the plastic seal when I opened it. I dont see how to return it now. Any ideas on what to do? Also, its not a powder. Its granules. I think that must have happened when it was burned.

This is the absolute best option for lysine. It dissolves easily in any liquid and has minimal taste. Ive tried lysine pills before that ended up hurting my stomach and tasted horrible. I mix this with a little juice and I am good to go in minutes

Ima be honest, I purchased this by mistake, I thought I was buying L- Lysine for cats which is fish flavored but turns out this product is good for both cats and humans. The product is flavorless so I put it in my protein shake in the morning and sprinkle it in wet food for the cats. Definitely value for money. I keep good health generally so difficult to see any benefit, but at the price what do you have to lose. Boosted immune system for me and feral kitties

The Vet suggested that I use L-Lysinefor my kitten. He was a rescue and was sneezing and his eyes were running. Two courses of antibiotics didnt help. Once I started the lysine, sprinkling this on his food. He started getting better. After a couple weeks on it hes fine. I dont know whether to continue giving it to him or not but I really think it made a difference.

I find this great value for money but be aware that this formula has larger grains than most do. It is more crushed looking, than powdered. I added a photo but it doesn’t capture it particularly well. I use this as a supplement for rescue/stray cats to boost their immune system (I mix it into their diet). This formula is so large and heavy that if mixed into kibble, it sinks to the bottom of the dish like salt would. Other formulas I have found are significantly lighter and finer. If you were trying to dissolve this, you might run into issues. As an additional note: my vet believes it is completely useless as an immune system booster. I hold onto hope.

This product didn’t work for me. I have taken L lysine for cold sores for many years and normally get relief from symptoms within 12 hours. I tried taking 10 grams of this product daily when I had a breakout of cold sores and had no change in symptoms after 3 days. Frustrated I switched back to tablets and took 3 grams of l lysine tablets and within 12 hours I had improvement in pain and appearance of my cold sores. This product did nothing for my cold sores and I feel like it was a waste of money.

This odorless, colorless, tasteless L-Lysine powder is the only thing I have gotten to work for my cat EVERY SINGLE DAY. Kitty is getting older and has developed the eye boogers in the warm months. Its a very common form of cat herpes that only cats are affected by. I put about a teaspoon a day in my cats wet food and it works wonders. I literally have to give it too him daily to keep it from getting out of hand. Ive purchased different types of treat treats with L-Lysine and my cat just wont eat them.... or he will eat them for a few days and never touch them again. This is the only thing that really works. I cant imagine the state kitty would be in without it. For a few bucks I have enough to keep my cat healthy for well over a year. Amazing product. Fast shipping. Dirt cheap. 5 paws.

This is a massive container of lysine, which is great but I was alarmed and immediately checked the expiration date to see how long I have to go through this stuff (I am using small quantities for my cat). It expires only 8 months from today! The normal shelf life of lysine is 36 months. So I have about 25% of the amount of time I should to use this massive container- it will mostly go to waste. Shame on this company for selling something with less than a year to live. This is not a bargain grocery outlet, and I trusted them to send me a product with a normal shelf life since I was obviously unable to check. Buyer beware.

I originally ordered the pet L-lysine for my dog who had warts, but it was expensive, $20 for 120 grams. This is a much better deal and I can use it too. I started taking it for shingles, drop a scoop in a glass of water. Mixes well and no taste. Im using 3 scoops a day (divided) and my dog gets 1.5 scoops along with thuja for his warts. For reference, he is 110 lbs.
