Awesome cutting tool! Fits comfortably in my hand, and is easy to cut with. I like that the blade is extendable, so you can break of the used part as it gets dull (conveniently increases time between having to change the blade). I have purchased THREE of these I like them so much. I keep two in my main hobby room (mostly so I can reduce blade changing even further), and one around the house so I always have one handy.

I manage a mattress factory and my guys use this to cut through thick mattress panels. They complain when I buy anything else. These knives rock.

I would give zero stars because the envelope arrived torn and no knife inside. New product arrived overnight

Though the product appears sturdy, I had the tip broken on the very first attempt to cut a 1” foam. Not completely satisfied.

Was unsure at first about this new model that eliminates the screw to hold the blade setting. After using the old model very extensively and this new one for a couple months, I have to say that I slightly prefer this new model. I also like the integral rubber molded grip. These small utility knives are just fantastic. I own maybe 3-4 of them because I want one at the office, in my shop, and then in my office. I use them nearly daily. I previously used them in my life as an architect building physical models and preferred this option over an exact-o for nearly all applications.

Use this knife for automotive window tinting and love it, knife feels great in your hand, is super comfortable because of the rubber grips and the clip makes it really convenient to carry in a tint apron, love this knife, am going to order a couple more as backups.

My only negative is the incorrect Amazon description which shows a length of 8.7 ? (I tried to locate specs at the Olfa website but to no avail). I would have purchased several more but wanted to see this one first due to the length. I can verify that the OAL retracted is in fact 5.675 (not 8.7)...huge difference! So I extended the blade to max and measured this length to be; 8.125 which is still over .5 shorter than the Amazon specs. Incorrect dimensions (and other specs) seems to be a common problem with Amazon. Not sure why? The Olfa, XA-1 (1075449) is very well made and you will not find a better snap-off knife anywhere. It is similar in size and function to my American Line knife(s) but has a much better feel due to the rubberized grips. Highly recommended and 2-day Prime shipment.

I love these knives. They are comfortable to hold & they are non-slip. They will fit in your pocket easily (no pocket clip). The blade is extremely easy to extend and retract. The blade can be retracted completely into the handle for safe handling. The blades are fairly easy to replace (no screwdriver needed). When the tip becomes dull, you can simply snap the tip off (be careful of flying metal). The refill blades are fairly inexpensive. BTW: the black blades are MUCH better than the silver blades. Ive used both. The black blades are extremely sharp and strong.
