I dont think its supposed to start leaking from the threads and cause this.

Inexpensive and works perfectly. I only wish that Anycubic would sell the thermistor and heater cartridge separately so I wouldnt have to replace the entire print head, though its not a big deal price-wise.

I had an extruders bowden connector fail mid-print recently, and of course the filament sat and baked in the hot end. So i bought 2 of these to replace it for the Vyper. 1st issue: the bowden tube is crazy long. I had to trim it significantly to keep from snaring or getting pushed onto the print bed. 2nd issue: midway through Benchy, something went wrong and i ended up with a giant ball of plastic around the heat block. I tried to retract filament to do some damage control, and it wouldnt move. The extruder started grinding the filament. After letting it cool some, i try take off the nozzle, but it ends up snapping something inside the printhead and the entire hot end starts to spin. So i take out the hot end, and try again. The nozzle wont burge, but the heat block comes off instead. Ok, well this is why we have 2! I can take the heat block off the 2nd one to replace it without having to redo the bowden threading. Except the 2nd heat block wont come off. Or the nozzle. Which tells me theres going to be problems trying to print with it.

I have gotten 3 of these over time. They all start to leak from the threads about 10-20 hours of printing. While they will work you need to keep cleaning them and you get blobs. If you can just upgrade to an E3D v6 do it. Otherwise, you will need to rebuy the extruder multiple times if you print any moderate amount.

For the cost it’s just easier to swap the whole hot end then trying to clean it out. 5 mins no clog and printing like a champ

Id probably give this 3.5 stars. The only problem is that I needed to swap the heatbreak tube with an all metal one since I run ABS sometimes and it ends up burning the PTFE over time. However this is assembled with so much torque that it is very difficult to get the heat break tube out without stripping the threads (which I have not done). I had to cool the heatsink+heatbreak tube in the freezer and then was able to unscrew it, still with difficulty, using a vice grips while protecting the threads with some rubber wrapped several times around them. They do not have any thermal compound between the heatbreak and the heatsink, so it was just torqued too much. Other than than Im sure its great, as long as there are no plans to take it apart I guess. I am using this with an Anycubic Kossel and the dimensions of this are the same as the one I am replacing, so it is a direct replacement for the Kossel (aside from the electrical parts which I cannot use).

Easy install and for the price it’s a must have I have 3 that I rotate between clogs and I’m up and printing in no time

It worked for one print and the heat element died on me.

A great replacement for when my hot end failed on the Anycubic Kossel. I used this hot end to print with both PLA and TPU without any issues.
