Osprey Daylite Duffel Bag 60

> 3 dayI was excited to see that Osprey had come out with a line of elegant simple duffle bags. Ive been a huge fan of Osprey for years, they have created well-designed travel products and also amazing backpacking backpacks. The Daylight Duffles are a great lightweight duffle bag perfect for short trips or for a run to the gym. They arent overbuilt, just a large main compartment and two smaller zippered pouches on the end and side including one with a clip for your keys. As with nearly all Osprey bags it can be used as a backpack but also works well as a normal duffle bag. I love that the Daylight is made from recycled materials although you would never guess as they seem incredibly durable and functional. I was excited to get all 3 sizes, 60L, 45L, and 30L to always have the right one for need. The 30L is great for a quick day trip or taking to the gym, the 45 is good for an overnight trip and the 60 is the perfect size for a quick weekend trip. They also nest easily for easy storage. Im also assured by Ospreys guarantee to repair for free any damage or defect in the product. It is great to have the knowledge that my new favorite bag will be with me for the long term. Couldnt be happier with Osprey as a company and these bags.

Greater than one weekEasy to load duffel, easy to carry as either a backpack or duffel. The best of both worlds. Lightweight but extremely durable and made with high-quality components like the zippers, padded straps, and zipper pulls. The 60L size is good for weekend trips or maybe longer if you pack light. The flexible material and frameless design are ideal for cramming into a stuffed vehicle, yet the sides have some padding to keep contents protected. Construction quality is excellent, like all other Osprey products I have owned. The material is recycled polyester, but it feels as durable as nylon. Slightly soft but also sturdy. This is a bag that will last a lifetime and should prove useful in many situations.

> 3 dayThis duffel bag is the perfect size for me, Ive been able to use it for overnight trips to hotels, gym trips, packing stuff for the kids to go to grandmas for the day. It fits more than you would expect without being bulky! The teal color is so modern right now too and looks really good. My favorite feature of this duffel bag is the ability to wear it like a backpack or use it as a traditional duffel bag.

> 3 dayThis is the first compelling offering that Ive seen that functions well both as a backpack and a duffel. This 60L bag holds a ton of stuff (I recently fit a tent, two sleeping bags, two sleeping pads and some snacks in mine). This bag has a really impressive build quality and the fabric, stitching, straps, etc all feel top-notch. Even loaded up, it is very comfortable as a backpack. I liked this bag so much, I also bought a smaller version! Highly recommend!

> 3 dayThis bag is perfect for weekend getaways, duffle that converts into backpack. Very durable and easy to store away when not in use. Just enough pockets and space to ensure you don’t over pack.

> 3 dayGood balance of backpack&duffel. Suitable for air travel. 60L is a good size, big enough to hold multiple days clothes, but not so large that its hard to wear or maneuver while wearing. For my height (average American male), I would not go smaller than 50L or larger than 70L. Its small enough to pack into a larger suitcase if youre not sure how much capacity youll need on the way back. Very well made, no dangling bits, heavy material, and multiple handles. The straps are not the most padded and theres no sternum or waist strap (its not an actual backpack) but perfectly adequate to wear as a backpack for making connections & transits. Mine went through multiple international airports as checked baggage and shows no sign of wear. Other Thoughts: Make sure you load it correctly if you plan to wear it-- extra weight on what suddenly becomes the top is very awkward. The airlines I used put the duffel in a luggage bin both for checking and for baggage claim. The small side pockets (curiously only on 2 sides, instead of 3) are handy. Quibbles: shoulder straps should be a little more padded. A loop to allow hanging this off a large suitcase would be helpful for air travelers. Overall, the best of 3 similar bags I looked at. And Ive been very happy with the longevity of my other Osprey backpacks. Recommended.

> 3 dayThis is an excellent duffle. It is really well made – all the zippers move well, the fabric is really sturdy, the straps are padded & well made, finger pulls on zippers make it easy to open/close & there is a lot of room. The padded straps can function as backpack straps which is great if you are on public transport or going thru an airport or train station. They are not meant for long hauling but are comfortable during travel. There is a key fob in the large front pocket. For storing, it all folds up & is held together with the straps – nice & neat/flat.
