Worked nicely with my External Monitor for 4K and high-speed recording.

Restored my MacBook Pro Mid 2012 with the OWC 1 TB Mercury Extreme Pro 6G SSD. My old MacBook Pro went from taking 8 minutes to boot to under 30 seconds. If youre making the change from HDD to SSD for the first time, youll be amazed at the difference. OWC has a great reputation, and so far, Ive been thrilled with their products.

Ive installed many of these SSDs in iMacs over the years. Installing the drive is the easiest part. Getting it to restore using time machine is a challenge. After several failed attempts at a time machine recovery to set up the new SSD. I recommend making a usb boot disc installer for the OS you want. I used Big Sur. Boot from the installer disc you just made, install a fresh OS on the SSD, then migrate the data from your time machine back up. The steps to make the boot disc using terminal are found easily online... if you cant do that, you shouldnt be opening up an iMac. I have several of these SSDs from OWC. They are a huge improvement over a stock mac internal HD.

Very easy to install, works great,my Mac starts up faster. My 2012 is worth fixing versus a new one

I brought One of OWC 240 GB Mercury Extreme 6G SSD and attached it to their OWC Accelsior S PCIe Adapter for 2.5-inch SATA 6G into my early 2009 Mac Pro 5.1. What A difference once loaded, it just flies, IMHO money well spend.

Easily swapped the internal drive in the late 2012 MBP. Used Carbon Copy Cloner (Bombich) to create the external copy. Swapped it out, and started it up. The MBP is obviously faster and has been operating since.
