Perfect fit for my 09 Mac Pro . With these sleds were $9.99 instead of $17.50, but at least they arent the $20 rip off that Mac users sell the oem ones for

These drive holders are sturdy enough for ssds. It fits the SSD perfectly. The only thing I had to figure out was what to do with the screws and then I figured to attach them to the sides, and it fits perfectly. This is a great product for anyone with an sata add want to use it in a Mac Pro.

Installed 2 samsung Sata SSD into my old 2102 Mac Pro tower and instead of letting them hang there I bought these and worked perfect.

This product was a nessicity when I added a 2.5 SSD to my 2010 Mac Pro 5,1. The SSD fitted perfectly onto the caddy without any hassles and went into one of my drive bays easily. This also complimented the PCIe SSD that is on the motherboard which is the main startup drive for the Mac Pro. The mount pro drive sled gave the SSD a more secure feature to operate in the drive bay as storage back up than some people who would taped it in the drive bay(s). In the future I am planning to order another mount drive sled for my 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 upgraded to the 5,1. For any owner that has a 2009 - 2012 Mac Pro, I highly recommend it if your mounting a 2.5 drive into your drive bays.

This drive sled is exactly what I needed to upgrade the storage on my Mac Pro. It was easy to install and fits perfectly in the slot. Highly recommend for anyone looking to add an extra drive to their Mac Pro.

Unlike Mac Pro tray adaptors, this replacement tray allows a direct connection between the SSD and internal SATA port. There is no intermediate socket, nothing to break or get flakey. Just a nice solid piece of kit. Not the cheapest, but the simplest and most robust SSD tray for 4,1 and 5,1 Mac Pros.

OWC Mount Pro 2.5" Drive Sled for 2009-2012 Apple Mac Pro

Add any 2.5" Hard Drive or SSD to your Apple Mac Pro!

While designed with the OWC Mercury brand SSDs in mind, the OWC Mount Pro 2.5 is the easiest way to add ANY 2.5" Hard Disk Drive or Solid State Drive to your Apple Mac Pro (2009-2012 "Nehalem" & "Westmere" models).

The powder-coated aluminum and open design assists in heat dissipation while the blue color not only looks sharp, but allows you to tell at a glance which bays contain 2.5" form factor drives.

Installation is a breeze. Simply attach your 2.5" drive to the bracket using the four included hard drive mounting screws and swap with an existing 3.5" drive tray. The OWC Mount Pro 2.5 perfectly aligns the SATA connection from your 2.5" drive into the back plane SATA ports on the Mac Pro.

Note: Not for use with Mac Pro models released in 2006, 2007, or 2008
