> 3 dayI found that this tape isnt as sticky as other brands. On brand new, clean boxes I noticed the tape would come loose from the boxes at times. Be really careful with this tape if you use it.

> 3 daySo yeah, its not the thickest packing tape by a long shot. Im only giving it 2 stars for thickness. Amazon wants a rating for sheerness, its like totally transparent, so I give it 5 stars. It tapes your boxes shut. Do you have a clean and sharp blade on your tape gun? Do you have good tape gun technique? Well, go and save some money and get oodles of packing tape. Not sure what H-taping means? It works great. However, you will get annoyed occasionally when you shred it with your gummed up tape gun. No big deal, smooth it down by hand.

> 3 dayThe adhesive does not stick to cardboard boxes well enough that Im having to apply some super glue between the tape and the cardboard box, which leads to a lot of wasted portions as well.

> 3 dayIs this the stickiest tape Ive ever used? No. Is it the thickest? No. But for the price point, youre not going to beat it for shipping/packing tape. Does its just job perfectly. The only con? It does have a bit of a strong smell.

> 3 dayUpdate 0400521: Came back to order more, discovered its nearly doubled in price, in less than a year. We are so tired of this trend from third party vendors on amazon! Theres absolutely no legit reason for prices to fluctuate that much, that fast. Weve left our original review below, as our thoughts on the product quality hasnt changed, aside for it not sticking to cardboard quite as well as wed like. But obviously our search for an honest supplier continues... Dont you just hate going to reorder something you like and trust, but bought a year or more ago, to discover either the price has shot WAY up or its no longer available at all? The later seems to be the case more often than not with packaging supplies especially. No matter how well rated, every year there is a whole new host of new brands to choose from, meaning another hour or three trying to make sense of all the conflicting reviews of unfamiliar brands and trying to see which is the best value. Well, as of a month ago, when we purchased this tape, it was without question the best value we found. And after shipping a couple dozen boxes, were convinced of its quality, especially for the money. We can only hope that theyre still around, and still just as competitively priced in a year or two, which based on our meager shipping is probably about when well need more. These are large rolls that fit typical industrial tape dispensers (you know the kind with a large pistol grip); large rolls that make full use of your dispenser, why so many companies bother with the half-size rolls (or smaller!) I dont understand. The tape itself is medium weight - thick enough that it doesnt wrinkle up if youre not super careful, but its not going to be ideal for heavy packages, like shipping audio amplifiers or receivers. Its a great weight balance for most typical package weights. Its not so super clear that you can read writing on the paper core. Though, Ive never quite understood why anyone would need it to be. It may look yellow on the roll, but it doesnt look remotely yellow when applied. We completely cover the tracking barcode on packages we ship with it, and even when using an inkjet printer set on economy ink saving mode, which prints a medium gray, its still easily transparent enough for the post office to scan through the tape. Obviously, it sticks like glue to poly mailers. Some have commented that the type of adhesive this type of tape uses, as commonplace as it is, can pull up when applied to cardboard. We havent noticed that problem ourselves, and tested some before using it to see if after several days it was showing any signs of losing adhesion. So far it seems as sticky as even heavier duty brands weve purchased in the past costing over twice as much. I can only assume if it came loose for someone, either they had bad set, something that Ive never seen in 20 years of buying packaging tape, even from the cheapest made brands, or they failed to apply it properly, as most manufacturers recommend rubbing it in. I believe warming up the glue in such a way makes it adhere better. Well usually go over it with a wood roller a couple times, but just rubbing it in with your finger tips does the job. Of course, making sure the roller on the dispenser presses against the box correctly should work too. A great price on good tape. Easy to recommend, all things considered.

Greater than one weekExcellent tape. Not too thick. Not too thin. We made wooden blocks and need our packages to stay taped up. Way better than Uline packing taoe and their miserable Trump-supporting owners.
