> 3 dayI used this to tape boxes for moving, and boy, was it great! It’s suuuuuuper wide, so you don’t have to worry about your boxes popping open on you. Once across the top, and your box is safely sealed! This stuff is strong, too. It’s not that cheap stuff that flies around and sticks back on itself before you can stick it to a box. Note, however: It won’t fit your tape gun; if you need something for that, you’ll have to get standard width tape.

> 3 dayUpdate 0400521: Came back to order more, discovered its nearly doubled in price, in less than a year. We are so tired of this trend from third party vendors on amazon! Theres absolutely no legit reason for prices to fluctuate that much, that fast. Weve left our original review below, as our thoughts on the product quality hasnt changed, aside for it not sticking to cardboard quite as well as wed like. But obviously our search for an honest supplier continues... Dont you just hate going to reorder something you like and trust, but bought a year or more ago, to discover either the price has shot WAY up or its no longer available at all? The later seems to be the case more often than not with packaging supplies especially. No matter how well rated, every year there is a whole new host of new brands to choose from, meaning another hour or three trying to make sense of all the conflicting reviews of unfamiliar brands and trying to see which is the best value. Well, as of a month ago, when we purchased this tape, it was without question the best value we found. And after shipping a couple dozen boxes, were convinced of its quality, especially for the money. We can only hope that theyre still around, and still just as competitively priced in a year or two, which based on our meager shipping is probably about when well need more. These are large rolls that fit typical industrial tape dispensers (you know the kind with a large pistol grip); large rolls that make full use of your dispenser, why so many companies bother with the half-size rolls (or smaller!) I dont understand. The tape itself is medium weight - thick enough that it doesnt wrinkle up if youre not super careful, but its not going to be ideal for heavy packages, like shipping audio amplifiers or receivers. Its a great weight balance for most typical package weights. Its not so super clear that you can read writing on the paper core. Though, Ive never quite understood why anyone would need it to be. It may look yellow on the roll, but it doesnt look remotely yellow when applied. We completely cover the tracking barcode on packages we ship with it, and even when using an inkjet printer set on economy ink saving mode, which prints a medium gray, its still easily transparent enough for the post office to scan through the tape. Obviously, it sticks like glue to poly mailers. Some have commented that the type of adhesive this type of tape uses, as commonplace as it is, can pull up when applied to cardboard. We havent noticed that problem ourselves, and tested some before using it to see if after several days it was showing any signs of losing adhesion. So far it seems as sticky as even heavier duty brands weve purchased in the past costing over twice as much. I can only assume if it came loose for someone, either they had bad set, something that Ive never seen in 20 years of buying packaging tape, even from the cheapest made brands, or they failed to apply it properly, as most manufacturers recommend rubbing it in. I believe warming up the glue in such a way makes it adhere better. Well usually go over it with a wood roller a couple times, but just rubbing it in with your finger tips does the job. Of course, making sure the roller on the dispenser presses against the box correctly should work too. A great price on good tape. Easy to recommend, all things considered.

Greater than one weekIm using it for moving boxes but Im not sure if I would trust it for shipping. The glue does not seem very strong. I guess you do get what you paid for. Originally I gave 3 stars but Im upgrading to 5 stars. I have used it and I am convinced this is a great deal for a very reliable product. I would buy again and I do recommend . You can not beat this deal. No way.

> 3 dayWe bought two other orders of 12 rolls from Grizzly Peak brand. I sure wish I had seen this set of rolls 1st. Twice as much tape. WE had cheap old scotch brand dispenser and although the other rolls fits in and these were too big until we used part of the roll I still would buy these, Such a great deal. Would definitely buy again.

> 3 dayThe tape is so thin that lengthwise tearing is a constant problem when simply trying to pull the tape off the roll. Likewise, the edges rip and pull off after the tape is affixed because of how thin this is. Very disappointed.

Greater than one weekI do a lot of shipping for my online business. This tape works well with my tape gun. This item is a good product and I will buy again when I run out of tape. I put it over my labels on packages and the post office has no trouble scanning the bar code through it. It sticks well and seems strong.

> 3 dayThis is a very thin packing tape, but its fine for most packages and the thinner tape can be better for bending around corners and smaller packages. Tape is very sticky and I havent had any problems with it. For larger packages I just use a bit more tape for security. Fits any standard size tape dispenser.

> 3 dayGood tape for money but it was too thin for my needs. Had to return, and return was simple. Will probably order the 2.6mil or 2.7mil from them when I need more tape.

> 3 dayI purchased these rolls of packing tape because of the “extra long” feature thinking I was getting a cost saving. I am accustomed to using these off-brand rolls as refills for the red plastic holder that comes with a different, more expensive, brand. However, the extra length on these rolls makes it impossible for them to fit the holder. The core is the right diameter, but the amount of tape on the roll keeps the holder from closing and the tape roll fits so tightly that it won’t turn. This is not a problem with the quality of the tape itself. It is my mistake for assuming this brand would fit a holder from a different brand. I’ve done it many times before, though, with no problems. Struggling with tape that is not in a holder cancels whatever money is saved especially when much of the tape is wasted because it doesn’t come off the roll evenly. I am now in the unfortunate situation where I will have to use each roll off the holder until several feet of tape is used up. At this point, I can’t return the rolls, but next time I will be sure to buy rolls of the proper length. Just a word to the wise.

08-06-2025I use 2-3 rolls of tape a day and Ive tried saving a dollar here or a dollar there and Im always disappointed. This tape is the actual quantity and thickness that is claims to be and doesnt tare or bunch up. This is the only tape I purchase now.
