PanPastel 29545 Ultra Soft Artist Pastel, Pearlescent Violet, 954.5

These are the bomb. Luminous color. Love working with these pastels. Easy to use. Finely milled colors cling to even smooth substrates. Each pan is about 2/3s the size of my hand will last a very long time. These are a great investment.

Pan pastels the best at a decent price

It came a broken and powder instead of solid cake like last pan pastel I ordered

I use this in transfer of my drawings to my paintings and would recommend it.

It does seem to extend the other Pan Pastel colors.

I bought this after having watched a video on YouTube about drawing with white charcoal on black paper. I already had some black paper so I just needed white pan pastel and some sponge tools to apply it. I really enjoyed trying something new. The name of the artist whose video I watched is Mad Charcoal. He apparently uses pan pastel a lot. I wouldnt have thought to try it if I hadnt seen his video. I really enjoyed the scratchboard effect of the drawing.

I ordered this item and it arrived with the powder in the pan all broken up in bits so I returned it and requested a replacement which arrived the same way. Ive gotten other colors and theyre perfect but this color seems unable to arrive in good condition.

Black PanPastel is an essential item in my studio. Im able to do so many things with it, from soft tones over large areas to deep, rich details! Its also great for adding texture to both paintings and charcoal drawings. Love this stuff!
