They didn’t make the hole big enough for a pregnant bird to fit inside. I don’t know what they were thinking. Also they should have put a lot more holes to fit on both sides. And the biggest flaw is they sent the smallest screws. This box would not fit on a standard cage. The screws they set are just too small. They should send different sizes of screws to fit different boxes or send screw double the size they currently sent this will resolve the attachment issue.

Good price easy to install in cage birds jumped in right away I put some coconut hair and bedding in it and the birds used it right away very well made as far as bird cage stuff goes

Both mom and dad fit comfortably inside. This was the first fertile clutch, and I’m nosy, so I cut the end piece out to be able to check on them more easily. They nibble here and there on the wood but it’s been about 6 weeks and it’s still doing its job! Droppings get kicked around and go through pine sheddings from the babies, a lot got to the bottom wood, so I line it with paper towels and change daily to try to preserve it better.. but other than that it’s great. Holding 3 babies and parents.

Its perfect! just what I was looking for.Great product. My female Parakeet loves going to hangout in her new nesting box. I have nothing but good things to say abought this box. I purchased the Large size for my parakeets. The box is a very good quality box. It came with everything I needed to hang it to the cage.

PERFECT- except the metal ring at the opening.. once I took it off ... the next day they started loving it more .. so much that they are NESTING... and soon I’ll have 5 new cockatiels

Significantly too small for cockatiels, and dont forget, the male is going to want to widen the entrance. This isnt possible with a metal grommet around the entrance. This box might be okay for parakeets but do not get it for cockatiels.

My cockatiels love this box- maybe a bit too much. As you can see from the photo, they have chewed through this in no time. (That’s after 2 days!) I’m hoping it will last through hatching season. The wood is too soft to last very long. Also- make sure you pay attention to the dimensions. This box (xl) is big and might not fit a lot of cages. Good design and easily comfortable for both my birds to fit in at the same time. Would give higher rating if wood was stronger.
