This is by far one of the best purchases Ive ever made on Amazon. I bought this as a gate to go across my dining room so that my 10lb wiener dog wouldnt come begging when we sat down to eat or cause trouble trying to eat my plants in the dining room when I didnt have my eyes on her. Since the day I took it out of the box Ive had no trouble! I love that its functional but gorgeous, not tacky like a normal baby-gate is. I simply push back one of the gate ends for us to walk through and slide it back to shut it. I will say that if she were bigger or jumped more I would be concerned that maybe she could knock it over but for us its perfect. For children or bigger dogs I would beware that it could be knocked over, I wouldnt trust this to hold up unless installed in a wall (which I dont think would be too hard with a little wall mount and a few screws).

We love the look of this gate. It was quite sturdy to use for our dog to keep her on the deck. Used it several months. We forgot to bring it inside only 1 time. I thought it could be wiped off, but the wood and paint just came right apart. Disappointed it fell apart so easily after only 1 time in the weather. Not sure if it will hold up. The look of it is ruined.

This is exactly what I needed for my house. Really no assembly. Heavy, sturdy, great-looking piece of furniture that fits where I need it to. Super easy to open, close a section as you move through the house. Love this and recommend.

I purchased two different gate systems and both are are nice and working as I need them too. This product is the taller of the two in the picture and covers 96 rather than 80 as in the smaller one. I prefer the smaller set as I feel they look a bit classier. The wire in this set is set in a groove at the top which, in my opinion, weakens the top rail slightly and if the wire were pushed in and out, could cause the top rail to splinter. The finish is nice, but maybe not quite as fancy as the small set. The panels, however, are wider and covers the area I needed covered and therefore is the one I bought for the space. A con to this set, however are the legs, which fit over the bottom rail. When the pups I needed a fence for, push on the gates, those feet are pushed up and have to be re-seated to function as legs. As with both sets, I do not think they would stay upright should the puppies challenge them even with legs. I would purchase this set again, but would prefer to repurchase the smaller set if they were the right size to fit the space for which I needed another set. There was only $2 difference in the two products.

Love this gate!! The free standing convenience of this gate and its attractive design is wonderful. We needed to block our dog due to her diabetes and being prone to accidents. Also she gets into things when we leave the house. We have larger doorways, so it was difficult to find the right size and didnt want to permanently attach to the walls or doorframe. These are perfect!! I ordered slightly longer than my measured area which gives us the flexibility to adjust as needed. They are easily folded for storage, very sturdy and well built. They are also very attractive. We have had no issues with our dogs being able to push thru or knock them over. They have stabilizer feet that help keep them upright and those are easy to take on and off and can be changed in position on the gate to accommodate wherever most needed. I cant recommend these enough! My husband is very impressed, which says alot because hes extremely observant and critical on how things are constructed. Anyone looking for an attractive, sturdy, well constructed, excellently thought out idea for gates should definitely give these a try. Much better than anything we were able to find in the store and so convenient and easy to use!! Would definitely order again and HIGHLY recommend!!

Gate is not made of wood, but MDF. I have a dog who licks/paws @ gates and specifically wanted a wood gate. She has pawed enough recently I have learned it is not wood. Too late to return. Gate is very sturdy and very, very heavy none the less.

Gate worked great for blocking off my living room. Have older dog and new floors.

It’s perfect and complies to specs

I was skeptical at first, but surprisingly it’s done well with my 18 month and dogs from getting to the trees. I’ve only had it a few weeks now, but so far so good. And it looks really good. I’m pleasantly surprised at this purchase.
