Well made

I read many of the reviews that warned that this had a clear instead of a red one. It really didnt bother me but I would have preferred the solid red lid because of the padding on both internal surfaces. Plus for the clear lid is being able to see phone notifications. Also the 1040 will easily hold an iPhone 6s Plus!

Love this box... it is the perfect size for my phone and other small items like keys. I also really like the valve that automatically releases pressure, when it heats up.

Like the size and durability. Bought this for an oilfield relative who is always in bad weather conditions and he really likes it. Has kept his phone and wallet dry.

Already knowing the Pelican 1040 Micro Case was going to be great quality, it was better than I anticipated. I would not hesitate to buy more products from Pelican in the near future.

I own several Pelican products from large photo cases to small memory card cases. All have a durable matte finish. This 1040 micro is not the made of the same material. It is well made but The glossy finish scratches and makes the case very noticeable when carrying my phone and wallet in it. I would prefer a typical Pelican matte finish. Paying a few dollars more Is not an issue. I buy their products for Top quality that comes with a top end price

Great size and sturdy. Maybe too heavy for some applications. Scent proof.

I purchased a Garmin 66i and wanted to add another layer of protection for it when it is not in use. The Pelican 1040 fits like it was designed with the GPS in mind. The Pelican floats well, and no water penetrated the case after 5 minutes of floating with the GPS in it. It is not meant to be submersed, more so just to protect its contents from an accidental drop into the water or rain. It seems very sturdy against being crushed/thrown around and I feel confident that whatever I put in the case will be protected well. The Pelican is a cheap way to protect your investments.
