> 3 dayAgainst my better judgement, my wife convinced me we should buy this Ybike Pewi for our daughter. The reason I was hesitant in the first place is because I absolutely hate crappy China made stuff. This is no exception. The overall structural components are sturdy enough, for a light-weight person, but the aluminum screws absolutely bite. They are very fragile, soft and prone to stripping. Plus, if you have to ship 4 Allen wrenches with each unit, you are probably engineering it incorrectly. Ybike should take a lesson for IKEA, who, although dont make the highest quality stuff, do have the methodology down for using minimal tools and Allen screws for their products. Im rating it higher than I would normally, because if you can get it to come together without ruining the screws, then it is a great bike for a kid learning to walk. But I must say, Im very, very disappointed in Ybike for using China manufacturing to make this otherwise great tool. Lets face it, China-made stuff generally sucks. What happened to making products with pride and making them to last?

> 3 dayOur grandson immediately stopped using his other walker when this one arrived. It’s very easy for him to maneuver with the 360-wheels, to the point he’s learned to stop and turn before banging the wall as he did with the other walker. And can he go! At 12 months, he’s still too short to use it as a scooter, but he will try to sit on it. The other notable thing is its silence. With so many toys making sounds, singing songs or glowing lights, this one is “mute”. There is no immediate reinforcement. It’s teaching him that he actually has to put some effort into it to achieve pleasure. Additionally, the baby’s parents were very grateful for a bit of quiet. It is not only the baby’s favorite 1st birthday present but his parents, too.

> 3 dayGot this as a present for my nephews first birthday- he & his parents both LOVE it! My nephew is in the Help Me Grow program because he is behind in gross motor skills, so he was learning to walk assisted using this at age 1. The Help Me Grow program physical therapists do in-home visits weekly & they absolutely love this toy & they even told my sister that they were going to buy a few for their own use at the clinic! The walker moves very smoothly- love the wheels! My nephew is still quite unstable at 14 months (he can not stand by himself for even a few seconds), and he can operate this walker perfectly. He can not operate the V-Tech Sit to Stand walker- it doesnt give him enough stability. He has never fallen using the Pewi, although that was a big concern of mine after reading reviews. He does need help pushing it over the hump where the carpet meets the tile, but of course he is always supervised & help is always right there. He also likes to ride on it with help from his parents & Im sure will love this toy for a long time as he grows into it :)

Greater than one weekThis is a high quality product and our 18 month old really seems to like it. Its fairly simple to put together, though the instructions are not very well done. I eventually just eyeballed which legs I thought went where. Our 18 month old gets a kick out of riding around and Im pretty sure this will lead him very nicely into a balance back when he turns 3 next summer. He was even able to join his 5 and 7 year old siblings for some bike riding outside on the sidewalk. Not sure how it will do with larger bumps, but so far so good riding indoors at least. If we end up being more limited outside (only been out once so far) well come back and update this review. So far so good, both Dad (for the quality build) and son (for the fun) like this toy.

> 3 dayThe child we got this for at a little over a year old instinctively climbed right on top of this thing as soon as he got it, as well as using it as a walker. Agree with other reviewers that the plastic piece that covers some of the screws likes to pop out of place so you may want to use some tools to help secure it.

> 3 dayThe hardware list, number 9 states that you get one long screw and two short screws. I instead received two long screws and one short screw. I went ahead with assembly to see if I could get by with the hardware I recieved, but Im unsure. For step 3 handlebar assembly B, you need the two short screws to securely fasten the wave bracket, seat and handlebar into place. I attempted it with the long screw and short screw that I had left from the hardware and everything feels secure, but the long screw has room to wiggle up and down. Should I still let my one year old use this? Has anyone else had this happen to theirs? Other than the hardware everything else came as shown!

> 3 dayPros: Sturdy, well made Moves in all directions, stimulates baby to keep his balance Fun, attractive to babies Easy to assemble Serves as ride on and walking toy Cons: Has flipped over a few times when two babies were playing together Can be dangerous if kids are playing with the same toy (the back of the seat can hurt) Kinda difficult to control the balance for early walkers (but they learned very fast) I have two of them and would definitely recommend. Just always be around to avoid any injuries if two babies are playing together/disputing the same bike

> 3 dayThis was easy to put together. My two year old niece was able to get on and off with no problem. She was able to scoot around easily since its low to the ground. Great first bike!

> 3 dayWe ordered the Ybike for our daughter long before she was ready to walk. In the beginning I would seat her on the bike (her feet not yet able to reach the floor) and push her around in the house. She quickly understood the concept of holding on to the round handle however as her feet where still dangling she would start to slide if I didnt also hold the round handle from behind her. As soon as my daughter was able to stand we started standing her up in front of the bike holding the handle. Initially we needed to hold the bike to prevent it from rolling away. In no time at all my daughter was pushing the bike around un-aided and learning to steer and turn around. She still wasnt tall enough to sit on the bike and wasnt walking, only cruising. The bike gave her freedom to move around the main floor of the house and follow us around as we did various household tasks. I recommend using the Ybike on carpet for the first couple of days as it wont roll away from your child quite as easily. The Ybike is easy to build and was sturdy enough for my 7 year old cousin to zoom around on for a couple weeks while visiting. My daughter walks now however she still enjoys running around with her Ybike.
