> 3 dayEvaporative cooler blower bearings are bronze sleeve type with the shaft forming the other bearing surface. It required monthly oiling and since there isnt a dirt seal, the bearing wear out after a years use. Replacements are about $16 a pair. These bearings are ball bearing type, grease every couple months, have seals and will last many years. They are not bolt-in replacement, but worth the effort. At this price, the manufacturer should build this way.

Greater than one weekComplete garbage. I bought four bearings. All of them were set in the housing completely wrong. Off by about 15°. If it were just one I could understand maybe but all four are useless.

Greater than one weekIm using these bearings for a steering Colum, I understand this is an odd use case but while adjusting the angle of the bearing they fell out of the housing a lot of times. This caused me to have to weld up some weird angled brackets to make sure the bearing dont just fall out and loosen my steering shaft at 50 MPH. Figured this might be helpful for someone, good product otherwise.

> 3 dayThese bearings are a good value. They fit well. My problem is they will not withstand impact. The bases are cast material and brittle. I had suspected that would be the case, but was willing to try them. Four rifle shots into the morning and the target would no longer spin.

> 3 dayI Cant even use these bearings because they are not pressed in properly. Completely crooked. Im returning them for two more lets see how these two turn out. If the next two I receive our good then I will leave a five star review. Replacements came and they look perfect. I understand these are self aligning bearings but the first batch just didnt look correct, even when I straightened the bearings in the cast housing the just werent seated properly. The new batch looks great, we will see how they hold up, but so far so good.

> 3 dayI have three evaporative coolers we run in our auto repair shop 20 hours a day for five months of the year. We usually wear out bearing annually. These bearing use grease zerks instead of the oil and felt most other use. The design is way more automotive and looks like it will last years instead of months. Even the motor spins faster with them because they have less drag. All coolers should have these style of bearings

Greater than one weekI took a chance on these based on reviews that mentioned these bearings are self-aligning. Perhaps they are, but the hole bored through the casting that the bearing is pressed into is obviously bored at an angle relative to the rest of the casting and not in line with the mounting holes. I would either need to mount the casting at an angle or hope the self-aligning internal ring of the bearing did not cause ball bearings to run out of the internal raceway causing wear and premature failure. Pulling and replacing bearings is chore enough without worrying about doing it again sooner than necessary due to early failure of the part you are installing. I decided Im not risking it and returned them. Other than that, they appear to be of good quality and, if you can mount them slightly offset so the actual bearing itself is in line with the shaft, would probably work for you just fine. I dont have room to offset these on my brackets, so they are on their way back for a refund. I would be willing to try these again if I could confirm that they are being machined correctly or if I had an application with a little room to mount them at a slight angle.
