Works great but is super expensive, go with the cheaper brands, they work exactly the same!

Works as advertised. Although I fear Phillips may have some price fixing going on.

Good quality and color changing is very nice. However price is very high considering it is just a light bulb. Also 800 lumen is not bright enough, in a room you would require to have at least two bulbs if you need decent lighting. Low brightness takes away the fun of mood lighting because with some colors, your room appears to be in dark even with three bulbs in the room. Connecting to hub and setting it up is easy. Philips definitely needs to make bulbs brighter with next version, specially if they want to compete with better lights like Lifx 1100 lumen bulbs.

Very great product. Use it with Amazon Echo. Main issue is how extremely expensive it is.

Nov. 2017 Update: An illuminated programmable color palette awaits you. These lights are much more fun for me than than they were originally and I have found that WOW factor I was seeking. I can now change my light color ambiance by simply speaking a trigger phrase to Alexa. This is achieved by using IFTTT and writing my own Alexa Hue apps. Writing IFTTT Apps is super easy. The real trick here is finding the right HEX code combinations for the lighting effects you want to achieve. There are a lot of sites that you can access for these codes to help you in your experimentation. If youre just starting out, I recommend that you check Wikipedia for Web Colors. That will provide you with a great place to get started and you can branch out from there. Also, youll need to open an IFTTT account and link your Alexa and Hue accounts to it . Once you do that, youre on your way. You will just need to come up with trigger phrases for Alexa to access your IFTTT app to control your lights. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- While these lights are nice and I kept the two I bought (I got them on PRIME day, but did consider sending them back due to the cost), they are significantly more pricey (even discounted on PRIME day) than the plain white bulbs. The colored bulbs are not much more than a novelty item for me at this point given that I havent yet found an application in which they are useful or a way to add an extra dimension of WOW factor. You can can color cycle them using a number of techniques. While whats available is nice, I wish there was a way to improve the color variation and sensitivity to synchronization to music or other sounds - whats currently there is a bit limited in my opinion. In my case, the white lights provide me with all the functionality I need. Which I control with Alexa and a few other devices. There is nothing wrong with these, or other any of the other HUE lights Ive purchased, in my opinion. I have very rarely had any issue with interaction and color of the lights using the HUE software or interworking with other devices and Alexa to control them. They seem solid, although I cannot comment on their longevity at this point, but my expectation is that they are equivalent to other LED lights. At this point I would find the colored lights much more interesting and maybe even worth the cost if there was a way to improve their sensitivity and control to sound and if there was more granular control and variation of light colors. I am guessing that the capability is there, its just a matter of finding the right tools and color codes to do this. I should emphasize that IFTTT does have a number of widgets already available that provide capability beyond the Hue software. IFTTT also allows you the flexibility to add capabilities that are not available with the Hue software or existing IFTTT Hue widgets. IFTTT also allows you the flexibility to write widgets that allow you to control the HUE lights with other devices such as NEST Protect, Alexa, your mobile phone, etc. When I have a bit of extra time I plan to put together a couple of IFTTTT widgets that would at least make the colored HUE lights more useful for me. Maybe while I am at it I will also figure out how to get that WOW factor out of the lights that I am not feeling right now.

Excellent for my friend get togethers and mood gaming. Used a cyan blue through the Echo Plus while playing Subnautica and got a real sense of immersion in return. If color cycling REALLY matters to you, get a couple of these and the Phillips Hue Brudge (allows for more lighting features than the Echo Plus currently).

Dimmable to 1%. Great color reproduction. Easy to control. Perfect for my Home Theater lights (I put them in the ceiling recessed fixtures with a trim around the outside. They look good for recessed lighting, although, I should have bought the model that is made for it. If I didnt have other lights already, I would have bought the ones that are made for recessed fixtures. Pros: 1) Dimmable to 1% 2) Great color reproduction 3) Easy to use Cons: 1) They will break if accidently dropped, even from a small distance. Make sure to keep good care of them. They wont break while in the fixture. 2) EXPENSIVE (This is the 1 star deduction) Buying one light is too expensive. Buying the 3 pack or 4 pack with HUB is the way to go. However, I dont need the second hub, but I have it in order to get the better price on buying multiples of these lights
