Update: bulb is burned! Not working anymore after only 4 months of light use! Original post: Not annoying light; great balance Great night light during sleeping. Its very tiny. The level of output light is just perfect; its not annoying, yet you can still see. I take one star because it runs hot for the power it consumes.

I use this bulb in a small wall mounted light with a white globe and lettering. It illuminates the glob to highlight the letters without being overpowering. It provides enough illumination you can walk through the room at night and see objects without destroying your night vision. Mine runs all night and the bulb lasts a long time. They make great interior security lights without running up your electric noticeably.

Bulb was different size than expected.
